O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you...

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
    my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
    as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
    beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
    my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
    in your name I will lift up my hands.

Trump’s tactics typically have two characteristics: He goes after his opponents’ source of sustenance (usually that means money, but not always) and he accomplishes more than one thing at a time. In neutralizing Iran, Trump accomplishes a lot of things. First, of course, he neutralizes a major hostile regional threat.
   But second, he cuts the ground out from under what’s left of Hamas and Hezbollah. He also shuts off the pipeline of cash that was being used to bribe politicians and journalists in Europe (the Iranians have basically admitted that they do that) and support various NGOs and the like that serve anti-American and anti-Israeli ends. Iran has been a major sponsor of terrorism around the world; that will end.

Here's the Geopolitical Mistake Iran Made That Only Led to More Nations Lining Up Against Them  So far, this calculus seems to have backfired. Gulf states, rattled by volleys of Iranian drones and missiles targeting their hotels, ports and airports, are concluding the Iranian peril must be confronted. Rather than seeking an offramp, the prevailing mood in the Gulf—at least for now—is that the Iranian regime can’t be allowed to get away with this unprecedented onslaught on its neighbors.

New York Times Slammed for ‘Soft Touch‘ Obituary of Iranian Supreme Leader  Social media blasted the newspaper for failing to call the cleric a terrorist in the headline or first paragraph, where the paper wrote the cleric was known for “brutally crushing dissent at home, and maintaining unswerving hostility to the United States and Israel.”

What happened yesterday is not the end of the story.  The fury unleashed by Israel and America is just in its opening phase. It is unclear how many casualties lie ahead. But so far, Trump’s actions in this crisis confirm something I have been saying for some time: that Trump is a great man of history. I am pleased that the red-pilled activist Bill Ackman agrees.  “President Donald Trump,” he wrote on X, “will go down in history as one of the greatest and most consequential presidents we have ever had.” Does that sound odd? Donald Trump? The real-estate mogul and reality TV host?  It may sound odd.  It doubtless bothers the well-coiffed in Harvard Yard, CNN, and the Bulwark.  But it is the truth. The New York Times will not like it, but Trump will occupy a spot alongside George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, FDR, and Ronald Reagan as one of our greatest presidents.

Something could always happen to reverse the ongoing precipitous decline in fertility rates, although it is unclear what that might be. Certainly the decline appears to be resistant to government supplied financial incentives and child care assistance. However, a potential alternative does present itself in current real-world data. Certain religious groups are still having babies. Image
