Where shall I go from your Spirit?

Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
 -Psalm 139:7-12

If God is present at every point in space, if we cannot go where He is not, cannot even conceive of a place where He is not, why then has not that Presence become the one universally celebrated fact of the world? ... Men do not know that God is here. What a difference it would make if they knew. -A.W. Tozer

Israel Deplores Iranian Attack on Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Old City Jerusalem  The Israeli government condemned an Iranian regime missile strike that not only aimed for a civilian area of Jerusalem, but damaged one of the holiest Christian churches. Image

Churches All Over America Are Being Set on Fire – Are Sleeper Cells Involved?  Over the past couple of weeks, there have been numerous warnings that terrorist sleeper cells may conduct attacks on U.S. soil in response to the war with Iran. Over the past couple of weeks, there have also been a lot of church fires all over America. Why isn’t anyone making a connection between these two things? We know that Islamic terrorists love to attack houses of worship. Since 2020, there have been hundreds of churches in Europe that have been vandalized or burned down, and in many of those cases radical Islamists were involved. Is a similar trend beginning to occur in the United States?

That figure of 8000 ballistic missiles in Iran’s arsenal by the end of 2027 is meant, quite properly, to alert the world to what the Islamic Republic will be able to do unless the Israelis and Americans are backed to the hilt in their air campaigns, intended to destroy both missiles ready for launch and the plants where these ballistic missiles are being produced at the impressive rate of 300 a month.

Iranian Athletes Brave the Return Home to Save Families From Persecution   The most horrible part of all is that there is no guarantee the regime will not imprison or kill both the athletes and their families anyway after their return home. “Through the team’s manager, who presented herself to the players as someone they could trust and rely on, they were able to persuade some of the players to return. Several of the players decided to go back because the threats against their families became unbearable and the intimidation was relentless,”....

Rogue Judge strikes again: Murphy's Latest Power Grab Threatens Kennedy's Lawful Health Reforms For the second time in less than a year, U.S. District Judge Brian E. Murphy of Boston has inserted himself between the elected executive branch and its constitutional authority to govern, issuing a sweeping injunction Monday that blocks Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from implementing common-sense reforms to the nation’s childhood vaccine advisory structure.

Media, 29 Federal Judges Freak Out Over Rude Words In Dissent Attacking Trans Child Abuse  Judge Lawrence VanDyke pre-emptively nuked corporate-media pearl-clutching in his recent dissent from a Ninth Circuit decision forcing a nude, female-only Korean spa frequented by minors to admit men in the name of “trans rights.”

Pew’s Latest Poll Tries To Hide Americans’ Hesitancy About Unlimited Abortion, Mifepristone  Absent from Pew’s analysis is the fact that 76 percent of Americans believe there should be some limits on abortion. Buried at the very bottom of the Pew article is also the fact that approximately four in 10 U.S. adults, 39 percent, agree that “human life begins at conception, so an embryo is a person with rights.”

Author Brags About Hiding LGBTQ Messaging in Children’s Book Cover   Rebecca Bendheim, author of a Young Adult book for teenage readers, recently took to Instagram where she bragged that she deliberately designed her book cover to hide the LGBT agenda of the story contained within its pages from parents, while still advertising to kids. This is the kind of sick and twisted ideology the left embraces. They undermine parents who don't want their kids exposed to sexual perversion, while they normalize deviancy.

When we shut ourselves off to avoid fatigue, we eventually die of loneliness. The West is dying demographically because it died spiritually first. Because it believed that happiness means having no responsibilities. But ask any father and any mother: the exhaustion over a sick child’s bed has more meaning than a thousand nights in expensive hotels.

With the Left having no limiting principle, how low can Society go? Well, the next frontier might be what we call “Pedophilia”, adult men having sex with much younger people. Both sexes are now on the receiving end. The Epstein Scandal has brought a lot of attention to the concept of pedophilia. Many school teachers have been caught sexually abusing their students, and I have documented many of those instances here. This is a world-wide phenomenon, and getting worse with the admission of Moslems to Western countries, due to the behavior is accepted there. Normally, Jews and Christians abhor such behavior, and it is punished heavily when found. Even hardened criminals in prisons despise child-molesters so much that they are in great danger from their fellow prisoners.

America’s ethnic churches offered an apprenticeship in communal belonging and identity. In their fading, we glimpse the larger cultural predicament, what the sociologist George Ritzer called the “McDonaldization” of culture. The drive toward standardization, uniformity, and convenience, often at the expense of creativity, individuality, and quality, is here extended into the realm of religion. The decline of ethnic churches does not spell the end of Christianity in America, nor the end of any specific ethnic memory. But it marks the collapse of one of the few structures capable of moderating the deracinating energies of American liberalism and the flattening impulses of mass culture. When the bells stop ringing on Sunday—or rather, when fewer people care to hear them—there will ensue a spiritual quiet that cannot be filled by politics, entertainment, or digital navel-gazing. We are a country rich in roles but starved for social obligations, wealthy in information but poor in wisdom, diverse in heritage but unmoored from history. Even if the old church bells never ring again, the longing they answered will endure. Whether new communities can once again gather enough courage, discipline, and imagination to build something so lasting remains an open question.
