Salt, History, and Bush
A book President Bush is reading on vacation can teach us what Jesus meant about being salty Christians.

While President Bush vacations at his Crawford, Texas, ranch, he's chosen a few books to enjoy perhaps while sipping lemonade on his back porch. One book, Salt: A World History, by Mark Kurlansky, has seemed to catch the
media's attention. After all, how much is there to read, or write, about a rock? We put it on our food and our frozen sidewalks. What more is there to say?

Well, for Christians, there's a lot more to say. And for the President, there may be a lot he can learn about his responsibility as a self-identified follower of Christ in the Oval Office.
