Version of Bible due out to hear on iPods

Come February, people will be able to use their iPods not only to listen to their favorite tunes, but to read the Bible as well.Zondervan, the world’s largest Bible publisher, has announced plans to release “Today’s New International Version Audio Bible for iPod” in February 2006. The company is partnering with Talking Panda, a leading developer of iPod software, to issue the first audio Bible available in Apple retail stores.

A single DVD will allow users to install both audio and text files onto their iPod. Once installed, they can choose a book, chapter or verse of the Bible to listen to or read along with on the iPod screen. Links to study notes from the Student Bible, a subject guide and topical reading guides also will be available.
