The official position of the Catholic Church on gay marriage and the admission of homosexuals to the priesthood has stirred anger and resentment in the homosexual community. Given the arrogance of the militant segment of the homosexual community these days (enjoying as it does the "moral" support of the major media and of many politicians), it is not surprising that it would challenge the Church's actions and the teaching on which those actions are based.
