NY: State Supreme Court upholds Westchester's recognition of gay marriage

Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano's executive order recognizing gay marriages performed outside New York does not violate the state Constitution, a state Supreme Court justice ruled yesterday.
Supreme Court Justice Joan Lefkowitz's decision, which advocates said will have implications beyond whether local gay couples can get family discounts at county parks, also said Spano's executive order does not conflict with a recent ruling by the state's high court prohibiting the marriages here. the rest
