Two Men Killed In Plane's 1st Flight

Jack Briggs leaned into Frank Romeo's home-built airplane Saturday afternoon and helped Romeo and passenger Bill Hodge with their harnesses.

Minutes later, he watched the plane disappear from the sky and saw people running from the Oswego County Airport toward where it went down.

Romeo, 61, of 7641 Harbor Circle, Clay, and Hodge, 62, of 4890 South Ave., Onondaga, died in the crash at about 2:30 p.m. off county Route 176 in Volney, Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd said. the rest
