'Fidelity/chastity' court ruling 'endangers the peace, unity and purity of the church'

Using such terms as "profoundly disappointing," "deeply hurtful," "unjust," "mistaken and destructive," a coalition of advocacy groups promoting homosexual ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA) are criticizing recent rulings by the denomination's highest court that affirm the denomination's "fidelity/chastity" ordination standard as "hypocrisy" and vowing to push for its removal at the upcoming General Assembly.

In February, the PCUSA's General Assembly Permanent Judicial Commission
ruled that presbyteries considering candidates for ordination or installation cannot depart from the "fidelity/chastity" requirement in the Book of Order. the rest
