Spitzer Pressured by Lawmakers to Quit Now or Face Impeachment

March 12 (Bloomberg) -- New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is under pressure to quit today after the state's Republican leadership threatened him with impeachment over allegations he was the client of a prostitution ring.

Spitzer, 48, who also faced calls to resign from fellow Democrats in the state Legislature, is weighing the consequences of not resigning following the impeachment threat, the
