Abortion debate: Gordon Brown warned that abortion limit will be cut to 22 weeks

The abortion limit will almost certainly be cut to 22 weeks when Parliament votes next week, Labour whips have warned Gordon Brown.

This week, the Prime Minister voiced his opposition to any reduction in the 24-week limit, saying he would vote against attempts by pro-life MPs to change the law.

MPs of all parties will have a free vote on amendments on abortion tabled to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill, which comes before the House of Commons on Tuesday, meaning they can vote according to their consciences. the rest
