Obama's Citizenship Scandal Sparks Another Lawsuit

By John P. Connolly, The Bulletin

A second lawsuit has been filed against Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama over his lack of evidence of U.S. citizenship.

Steven Marquis, a resident of Fall City, Wash., a town about 30 miles southeast of Seattle, filed a suit this month against Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed, demanding he verify Mr. Obama's citizenship status.

The complaint seeks specifically that the office of the Washington Secretary of State verify and certify that Mr. Obama is or is not a "natural born" citizen by producing original or certified verifiable official documents. The lawsuit argues that this certification should take place before the election to preclude a constitutional crisis.

Mr. Marquis argues the secretary of state has the authority and duty to not only certify the voters but also and most importantly the candidates and in so doing prevent the wholesale disenfranchisement of voters who would had had an opportunity to choose from qualified candidates had the certification preceded the election process. the rest

I think posting stuff about Troofers damages the integrity of your site, and weakens your positions on matters that are of real concern.

But McCain and Obama appear to be US citizens as defined in the Constitution and relevant law.

I am not a lawyer.

I have long regarded this as the mirror image of Rathergate. I am also a very private person who takes the attitude that someone's personal affairs such as tax returns are just that, personal, and of no one else's business. So if a public figure says that, fine. Good for him.

Still, one does wonder why such a basic document, allegedly already released, is such a problem. Surely he can't be worries about identity theft. ;)

For the same reasons that we can't get any straight answers as to what happened to the World Trade Center, simple stuff like who ordered it. Or
why Seven collapsed, nobody even claims an airplane hit it.

Think about it.

Senators and official candidates have security clearances and get briefings on sensitive stuff.

Do you think the citizenship question has not be asked?

Really?

I think they get them because they are in Congress. That is why congress has been known as the place for the most leaks.

The citizenship issue has been asked, and their results documented.

This person has the best attitude.

My reaction is to stop reading blogs that post favorably on the assumption that if they are wrong about things I know about, they are probably wrong about things I don't know about.

I have a thing about false prophets.
