Devotional: He comes to us as One unknown...

He comes to us as One unknown, without a name, as of old, by the lakeside, He came to those who knew Him not. He speaks to us the same word: "Follow thou me!" and sets us to the tasks which He has to fulfill for our time. He commands, and to those who obey Him, whether they be wise or simple, He will reveal Himself in the toil, the conflicts, the sufferings which they shall pass through in His fellowship, and as an ineffable mystery, they shall learn in their own experience Who He is.

Our choir is singing an anthem to that text next week. The sheet music says it is from Albert Schweitzer's "The Quest for the Historical Jesus" (in translation, of course). The text seems profound to me.
Does anybody know if that is correct. If so, do you know what chapter and maybe even page? I guess as it is translated, you would have to also say which translation if you were to give a page number.
By the way, I am not being anonymous because I don't wish to own up to this message. I simply don't want to bother with having an identity for one comment.

I found this website:
http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/schweitzer/.

Scroll down and click on Chapter 20 (results), and at the very bottom os that page you will see this quote by Albert Schweitzer.
