Health care reform bill passes House without abortion

Last night, the health care reform bill passed the House of Representatives without the inclusion of abortion. During heavy last minute debating, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sacrificed abortion gaining the support of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and many moderate pro-life Democrats. The change means that insurance companies that participate in the Health Insurance Exchange program will be prevented from covering abortions. the rest

It is possible that this was only a measure taken to pass the bill through the House. There have been speculations that state funded abortions will be added to the bill again once its in the Senate.
Hopefully this won't happen.
