Pro-Abortion Democrats Scream at 11-Year-Old Pro-Life Girl at Convention
...While Zoe was praying, pro-abortion activists who claim to stand up for women began to belittle and scream at Zoe for her stand for life. What is so sad is that one of the women who did this to Zoe, Sunsara Taylor, is a well know anti-porn activist who claims to be against the degradation of women. I guess just not 11-year-olds who believe that women should not be dehumanized by the abortion industry...

The Politics Of Frodo Baggins
Do you tend to the Shire and ignore the larger world or leave the security of your home to confront what threatens it?

The tragic point made in the book and downplayed somewhat in the movie was that Frodo could not have both....

The Moral Decline in the Words We Use
...Overall, in the second study, there was a statistically significant decline in 74 percent of the words they studied, including honesty, patience, honor, truthfulness, kindness, sincerity, courage, generosity, mercy, wisdom, humility, faithfulness, charity, humbleness, bravery, thoughtfulness, grace, helpfulness, courtesy, love, perseverance, modesty, politeness, fidelity, justice, gratitude, diligence, thankfulness, gentleness, sacrifice, benevolence, fortitude, purity, temperance, faith, hospitality, and appreciation. A few words showed increased use: compassion, integrity, fairness, tolerance, selflessness, discipline, dependability, reliability.

Analyzing these words as used in books is a way to highlight a culture's consciousness, they told The Atlantic Wire: "The words in a book reflect what is salient in the minds of a culture’s members, and simultaneously make these words even more salient. It’s a feedback cycle whereby people make cultural products and the cultural products make people," they wrote by email. This doesn't mean we're in an immoral spiral, yet: "It would be a stretch from data to say that our findings reflect an actual moral decline in the U.S.—that people are less moral now. But we believe that even if not outright moral decline, a moral confusion would be an unsurprising consequence of this downward trend in the cultural salience of morality concepts."...

President Obama is facing a tsunami of suits opposing the contraception mandate in his healthcare reform law.
...What's worse for the president, the suits have been filed in an election year, and have a decidedly political edge. New York's Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, a featured speaker at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., is a leading plaintiff.

Homosexual promiscuity: breeding a national health problem
...The majority of our most dangerous sexual diseases emanate from the homosexual revolution and are transmitted to wives, infants, children, and men by LBGTQ individuals who are most often bisexual....
...Gay men have between 4 and 100 times more sex partners than heterosexual men. Lesbians are 4.5 times more likely to have over 50 sex partners in their lifetime compared with heterosexual women. 75-90 percent of women who have sex with women have also had sex with men. Only 10% of homosexual relationships are monogamous after five years...

Unification Church Founder Sun Myung Moon Dies at 92
...Marriage is a central part of the Unification Church because Moon believed that Jesus Christ had failed his mission despite dying on the cross because he did not marry and have children. The self-proclaimed messiah said that he would complete Jesus' mission by marrying, producing sinless children and blessing couples in the church who would bring forth more sinless children. Marriage in the Unification Church is not just a personal issue but an essential part to gaining salvation.
Despite Moon's emphasis on the importance of marriage, he divorced his first wife, Sun Kil Choi, in 1952...

Something rotten in New York
...New York City and Albany Democrats are currently fleeing like cockroaches when the kitchen light is switched on. It will be interesting to see how much further this one goes up the food chain, particularly this close to an election. Does this mean some of these seats are going to be switching over to the GOP column? Don’t kid yourself. This is New York. Charlie Rangel still has a job here, for Pete’s sake.
