Christian pastors oppose Satanic statue unveiling in Detroit ...Pastor David Bullock of the St. Matthew Baptist Church said he and other Christian leaders are organising a counter protest on the same day the devilish  Baphomet  monument, which depicts a goat-headed entity, is to be unveiled by the group calling itself the Satanic Temple."

He invited all Christians to join the counter protest.

"The last thing we need—in a city where we're fighting against violence and fighting against economic problems and unemployment and the water crisis—is a statue dedicated to Satan right downtown," Bullock said...

Sanctuary Cities Represent the Worst Kind of Liberal Lawlessness  ...You know, it is possible to simultaneously believe that a policy is wrong but that arbitrarily enforcing law is more problematic. No matter how hard-working illegal immigrants are or how many suffer in the shadows or how many would make incredible Americans, there are many illegal immigrants who are criminals. Ignoring the law allows criminality—not immigration—to fester and grow. In the end, this may hurt the cause of reform. It’s doubtful that peaceful Americans—citizens, immigrants, or illegal immigrants—want criminals traversing back and forth over the border with impunity and the protection of the state...

Ohio Judge Declines -- Citing 'Christian Beliefs' -- to Marry Same-Sex Couple  ...“On Monday, July 6, I declined to marry a non-traditional couple during my duties assignment. His Spirit is always at work, even in the lives of some sweet little girls (and one boy) on the front pew week in and week out. It’s okay for kids to be bored in church here and there. There is never any harm in exposing kids to biblical teaching, even if it’s not in their favorite format. We never know what kind of truth is being planted in their hearts while they sit quietly and draw.

Not everything at church has to be a big show or a major production. Let’s stop living in fear of our kids having a single moment of boredom. Take them to church. Let them sit. See how the truths they hear work their way into tiny hearts. And watch God work through the preaching of His word...
