Further, nearly three-quarters of Americans, 73 percent, say the economy is worse off now than it was five years ago, under Trump’s leadership. A majority, 64 percent, also believe the economy is worse off than it was in 2020, when the coronavirus took a grip, forcing businesses to close.

The headline assigned to the op-ed was not what I picked, it was chosen by the Telegraph. I’m not thrilled with the headline because it really doesn’t reflect the substance of the op-ed, If Trump’s indictment is to stand, Democrats should be charged too over 2016. Headlines typically are selected by the publication, not the author (we do the same thing, but if it’s a major change we will clear it with the author). My op-ed was not about indicting Democrats, but about the weaknesses of the indictment of Trump.

EV Owners Suddenly Realize They’re Being Conned...There have been several reports over the years about the wildly inflated EV range claims.

Consumer Reports tested how well EVs performed in different weather conditions and “found that cold weather saps about 25% of range when cruising at 70 mph compared with the same conditions in mild weather. In the past, we found that short trips in the cold with frequent stops and the need to reheat the cabin saps 50% of the range.”

For example, Ford’s Mustang Mach-E, which is supposed to get 270 miles on a charge, could manage only 188 miles in the cold. Tesla’s Model Y, which has an official range of 326 miles, went just 186 miles in the cold.

Another report shows that battery performance deteriorates when outside temperatures get above 86 degrees.
