China Rapidly Outpacing US In Shipbuilding Capabilities...more

‘Hard To Fathom’: China Rapidly Outpacing US In Shipbuilding Capabilities In Bid For Maritime Dominance   “The scale [of China’s shipbuilding] is just almost hard to fathom,” Thomas Shugart, adjunct senior fellow on maritime competition at the Center for a New American Security, told the WSJ. “The degree to which it dwarfs American shipbuilding is just unbelievable.”

Why is the U.S. Navy Running Out of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles?  As retaliatory strikes against Iran-backed rebels and terrorists continue, anxiety is rising in Washington. Not just about growing threats but also about dwindling American stockpiles of select munitions and concerns that production lines are “maxed out.”
While concern is widely shared about the rising cost of defense in the Red Sea, a transition to offensive strikes has now raised a similar concern as the U.S. Navy (and Air Force) continue to expend powerful and expensive ordnance on a broad swath of targets.
Recent operations repeatedly deplete years’ worth of missile production overnight.

‘Whites are psychopaths’ guest lecture at UCSF draws outrage   “Whites are psychopaths,” King said. “And their behavior represents an underlying, biologically transmitted proclivity with roots deep in their evolutionary history.”

“There is no discussion about the delusions and the perversion of whiteness. Say this with me: rape culture in America is a legal, economic, and moral institution. So we’re going to, ‘we have it written in the law, you can rape black women – but we’ve never been a racist country!’”

According to the Wall Street Journal, “As recently as a year ago, automakers were struggling to meet the hot demand for electric vehicles. In a span of months, though, the dynamic flipped, leaving them hitting the brakes on what for many had been an all-out push toward an electric transformation.”

Reading the story, it’s clear that the reporter is downplaying the sheer scale of the boom-bust.

Grocery stores made plastic bags thicker, so they could be classified as “reusable”…and the tonnage of plastic bags in the trash increased.
