Horrors of Hamas continue as IDF exposes torture videos of Gazans   As the IDF continues operations in the Gaza Strip, Israeli soldiers have grown accustomed to uncovering weapons caches in children’s bedrooms, booby-trapped homes, and terror tunnels under hospitals, schools and mosques. However, the Daily Mail revealed that thousands of hours of horrific video footage from CCTV has now been discovered. Image

NY AG Letitia James vows to continue targeting Trump after years in the courtroom: 'Trump derangement syndrome'  Trump attorney D. John Sauer argued that James’ lawsuit stretched New York consumer protection laws and said there were "no victims" and "no complaints" of Trump’s business from lenders and insurers. He added that if the verdict is not overturned, "people can’t do business in real estate" without fear. Image

Calling Trump 'Hitler' Has Done Permanent Damage to the Moral Realm  Calling Trump "Hitler" and "Nazi" utterly trivializes Hitler and Nazism. Young people, the recipients of a largely worthless education in American schools -- especially regarding history -- know little, if anything, about Hitler and Nazism. For most of them, therefore, if Trump is Hitler, then Hitler was Trump. Hitler was nothing worse than a German version of Trump -- not the instigator of World War II and the creator of the Holocaust; just a German Donald Trump.

VD Hanson: The Fault, Dear Dems, Is in Yourselves  ...In the aftermath of the election, Democrats are engaging in public blame-shifting, while avoiding accountability for their own policies and elite disconnect, which alienated voters and led to defeat.
The Democratic election postmortem immediately descended into public blame-gaming—as expected. When Joe Biden was forced off the ticket in late July, the conspirators issued a party line that he was to be praised as a veritable George Washington—in the spirit of Washington’s farewell address of 1796 about why it was a good thing for the first president not to run for a third term.

The World As It Is...Not As We Wish It Were: Random Observations From The Weekend...Rod Dreher   But y’all, what’s going on now is so much deeper and darker and more complex than all that. It really is. The political dimension of the crisis is its own thing, and politics has a very important role to play. But our world has changed so very much since the days of Ronald Reagan. America is post-Christian now, and that has profound implications for what we should do, politically and otherwise. I was thinking last night about something an Evangelical pastor friend told me a year or so ago, about his deep frustration with leaders in his denomination, who think and act according to assumptions they made about the world in which they grew up, in the 1970s and 1980s. That’s not how things are now. Not even close. We have to struggle in and against the world as it is, not as we would like it to be. The saying goes that generals are always fighting the last war. If that’s how we think about this present moment, we are going to lose, and lose badly.
