UK votes to legalize assisted suicide; final approval of bill pending A recent survey of over 5,000 British adults carried out by Focaldata on behalf of the Care Not Killing coalition found that a majority (59%) believe it is "impossible to create safeguards that would always prevent people from being coerced into assisted dying." About 24% disagreed with that assessment. The survey also found general confusion among the public about what "assisted dying" means, with around half (52%) believing it involved "life-prolonging treatment."

World First as Australia Bans Social Media For Under 16 How the ban will be enforced, is still a big question, and a trial run will start in January of next year, with the ban to take effect in a year’s time.
There were concerns about whether social media giants would have to collect personal data from its users to prove they are over the age of 16, but a last-minute change to the bill specifies that platforms must offer an alternative to making users upload identification documents.
