The extraordinary scale of the crisis facing the next pope   

Francis was a charismatic pope loved by most of the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics, who make up 18 per cent of the global population. He was particularly beloved by the poor for his rhetoric about the marginalised. But few of them grasp the scale of the crisis in the Church – and even fewer are aware that it was made worse by a pontiff whom the media insist on calling the ‘people’s pope’. His leadership was marked by favouritism and poor judgment.

   The next Vicar of Christ will face challenges that dwarf those that confronted any incoming pope in living memory. The Church is mired in doctrinal confusion; its structures of government are fragmented; sexual scandals have been hushed up at the highest level; and it is staring into a financial abyss.

UK: Teenage boys allowed on girls’ hospital wards under NHS gender rules   Teenage boys are able to use girls’ facilities in NHS hospitals across England if they identify as female, even if their parents disagree.

   Under existing NHS guidance, which is now under urgent review, staff are told to place children in wards – and let them use the facilities – of the gender they identify as.

Hindus Stripped and Executed in Kashmir — Because They Weren’t Muslim   This is not an isolated tactic. In Kenya, Islamic terrorists asked bus passengers to recite the Shahada—those who failed were murdered. In Minnesota, a Somali jihadi stabbed victims who couldn’t confirm they were Muslim. In Belgium, a terrorist spared a hostage only after she said she was observing Ramadan. This is a global pattern—question, verify, kill.

   For the West—especially Americans—this must be a wake-up call. If you think this can’t happen here, you’re dangerously mistaken.

Christian Student Blocked From Graduating for Refusing ‘LGBTQ+ Affirming’ Course  Funny how no one in Montgomery County seems to recognize the irony. Jane, “privileged” due to her Christian beliefs, apparently cannot graduate due to her Christian beliefs. All efforts to resolve the dispute through alternative courses have failed. Moreover, Jane’s parents did not object to the LGBT content in the Family Life and Sexuality unit. They objected to its inclusion throughout the year-long course.

The Ivy League Is Being Hoisted on It's Own Petard 

It's not even an open secret--it is often said loudly and proudly--that race, gender, and sexuality are primary factors for who gets hired, who gets fired, and who gets admitted or funded as students at places like Princeton, Yale, and Harvard. 

   This is uncontroversially illegal--there is no gray area, and if the goal was to hire more white, heterosexual males, the federal government would apply all its existing civil rights laws to hammer these schools into compliance. All of them are required to certify compliance with the existing laws, and not a one of them is compliant in the least. 

   In other words, they knowingly break the law, lie to the government in documents that make them eligible for federal funding, and are subject to fines equivalent to 3x the amount they receive under false pretenses.
