O Lord, my heart is not lifted up...

O Lord, my heart is not lifted up;
    my eyes are not raised too high;
 I do not occupy myself with things
    too great and too marvelous for me.
 But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
    like a weaned child with its mother;
    like a weaned child is my soul within me.
 O Israel, hope in the Lord
    from this time forth and forevermore.

Mamdani win will spark catastrophic New York mass exodus poll finds  Nearly one million New Yorkers are preparing to flee the city should democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani win the race for mayor, a devastating new poll has found.
    The departure of at least 765,000 citizens would be one of the biggest mass exoduses in American history, with a population equivalent in size to Washington D.C., Las Vegas or Seattle prepared to flee the Big Apple. Image

I Fought A War Against Radical Islamists Like The One New York Is About To Elect  Radical Islam has made its way into America. It is already here, and it is spreading. America cannot be consumed by it.

Sharia’s Quiet Conquest of America: The Islamization of the NYPD and U.S. Military  America’s most sacred institutions — from the NYPD to the U.S. military — are no longer demanding assimilation but enforcing accommodation, quietly replacing constitutional loyalty with compliance to Sharia, a foreign legal system fundamentally at odds with the freedoms they swore to defend.

Perhaps never in recent history have American cities so badly needed strong, pragmatic mayors—and gotten so few. Congressional Republicans, with few urban constituencies, won’t be of much help with mass transit or other city services; big cities will have to “go it alone.” But rather than realigning city budgets and working toward self-sufficiency, many mayors favor far-left policies on policing, rent control, education, and taxation that amount to what the late Fred Siegel described three decades ago as “a suicide of sorts.”

The U.S. Conference Of Catholic Bishops Needs To Stop Apologizing For Islam Why is the USCCB anxious to silence criticism of Islam? Why is it defending an agent of its own civilizational decline? Retrace the funding trail of the document for a possible explanation.

Of All The Scandals In The Last Nine Years, Is One Of Them ‘The Worst’?  Which was the worst? It may be a matter of opinion unless we can agree on objective metrics. Russia-gate and the Biden Dementia Cover-Up/Autopen Scandals were corrosive to America’s foundations, widening tribalism and cynicism. But these were confined to the political sphere and were less quantifiable.
    While COVID-19 resulted in great loss of life, I submit that the response to COVID-19 was worse, as it reshaped daily life for every American.

DOGE Axes Iraqi TV, ‘Power of Habit’ Courses, and More Nonsense   The contracts eliminated or descoped last week (see receipts below) included a $8.7 million U.S. Agency for Global Media broadcasting contract for “FM and television broadcast operations in Iraq, Libya, and Chad,” which is so ridiculously unjustifiable we all know it’s pure grift. Another contract, for the Department of Health and Human Services, was a massive $19.5 million for “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training.” How insane is it that just one agency’s DEI contract cost nearly $20 million in taxpayer dollars?

Left Bullies Erika Kirk Months After Charlie's Assassination  Immediately after Charlie's assassination, Leftists who worked as teachers, doctors, pilots, and more publicly cheered on social media. Many were fired...

Sudan: Maternity hospital attacked, hundreds dead Particularly devastating, according to the World Health Organization: More than 460 patients and their companions were reportedly shot and killed at the Saudi Maternity Hospital in El Fasher, as the city fell. Six health workers were abducted.

And decorations are getting more realistic, scarier, and darker. Every October, Americans increasingly try to make death look real. Yard after yard turns into a horror-movie set — ghosts shrieking, zombies rising, demons laughing.
   Even Christian families have fallen for décor that looks, at best, menacing and, at worst, demonic, pagan, and drenched in occult practices.

Believers are all called to be Christlike. We are meant to be slowly but surely transformed into his image. Christians are little Christs in a sense. Along with right teaching, all of Christ’s followers are meant to model right living. Orthodoxy and orthopraxis are vitally connected. Image

Losing Our Words: The Decline of Reading and the Rise of Reels  It’s not just that people don’t read books anymore; it’s that we don’t know how to read deeply. We skim, we scroll, we glance. Our minds, constantly fed on instant content, become restless and impatient with slow thought. The result is a generation that finds reading effortful—and reflection uncomfortable.
But for Christians, reading isn’t (or shouldn’t be) just a hobby; it’s central to our faith. Ours is a revealed faith—a faith built on words, not images. God chose to speak, and those words were written down. The Bible is not a video reel or an infographic. It is a book—one that requires careful attention, time, and meditation.

   Some retire early, feeling exhausted and disillusioned. Others find new careers in consulting, biotech, or administration -- anything that doesn’t require insurance pre-authorizations or “productivity dashboards.”
   A growing number switch to concierge or direct-pay practices, charging cash and bypassing the insurance middleman entirely.
   It’s not that doctors no longer want to care for patients, but they simply can’t within the current system. As one colleague said, “Medicine used to be about healing the sick. Now it’s about satisfying the spreadsheet.” Read it all...

Despite this jabbing onslaught, our children and young people are far from well. Autism is greatly on the increase, and teenagers are suffering from crippling anxiety, depression and a variety of problems such as eating disorders, body dysmorphia and ADHD; none of which seemed to exist when I was a teenager. Or if they did, they were extremely rare.

Danish Cattle Dropping Like Flies After Government Mandates Methane Enzyme Inhibitor  So, when scores of cows keel over in their fields or barns, as is currently reportedly in progress, it definitely wasn’t the synthetic methane enzyme inhibitor that’s being used to further the Climate Change™ agenda of centralized control over the food supply and the means of production thereof; those cows probably had COVID or something.
   Some mRNA shots ought to fix them up.
