But if God so clothes the grass of the field...

And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? -Matthew 6:28-30

The relation of Jesus to His heavenly Father was not a relation to a vague and impersonal goodness, it was not a relation which merely clothed itself in symbolic, personal form. On the contrary, it was a relation to a real Person, whose existence was just as definite and just as much a subject of theoretic knowledge as the existence of the lilies of the field that God had clothed. The very basis of the religion of Jesus was a triumphant belief in the real existence of a personal God.   -J. Gresham Machen

Somali Subpoenas: Congress moving quickly to investigate cash-in-luggage exodus from U.S. airports   Two powerful committee chairmen in Congress are moving quickly to investigate why Somali immigrant couriers were moving hundreds of millions of dollars out of U.S. airports in their luggage to overseas destinations the last few years, and whether there is any connection to a massive fraud scheme in Minnesota or terror groups in their native country in Africa.

Maryland’s $760 Million Overpaid Unemployment Fraud Problem An audit recently uncovered millions of payments to individuals who should not have been receiving the money in question, amounting to hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars squandered. “The state did not timely pursue recovery of claimant overpayments totaling $807.4 million resulting in up to $760.7 million that is no longer collectable,” the audit determined, faulting also the Maryland Department of Unemployment Insurance (DUI) for not having procedures to conduct supervisory reviews of claims.

Freeze their bank accounts, their credit cards and put them through an extended process with no convenient jury trial in sight, but one that requires them to sue the government, and they’ll be less likely to play the stupid games that won them these stupid prizes.

So, in sum, here are the steps to the “fundamental transformation” of America:
- Create a critical mass of people — domestic or imported — who do not know how to support themselves without government handouts
- Indoctrinate them to believe that others’ success is attributable not to talent and dedication but to racism and exploitation (which, admittedly, requires ignoring the millions of successful minority business owners in the U.S., but collectivists have never let facts get in the way of propaganda)
- Buy their loyalty with “free money”
- Register them to vote (if illegally, this also means preventing the passage of laws ensuring election integrity)
- Run socialist candidates
- Once in office, implement policies that cripple business, private property and personal autonomy.

Where is the congressional cash-shutoff for Somali fraudsters?

Colorado Democrats Introduce Bill to Strip Parents of Rights on the Transing of Kids   On the matter of parental rights, they have none. The court will decide such things as “allocation of parental responsibilities, including parenting time and decision-making responsibilities, in accordance with the best interests of the child, giving paramount consideration to the child’s safety and the physical, mental, and emotional conditions and needs of the child.”
Apparently, the bill treats a loving home and caring parents as though this is an abusive environment. It assumes that a judge and a state bureaucracy, which has no history with the child, can somehow understand what is in the child’s best interests, which includes safety. Again, think opposites.

Muslim Student Association Promotes Terror at School Cultural Fair  Wissahickon High School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, has come under well-deserved criticism after it was revealed that the Muslim Student Association was allowed to display pro-terrorist messaging and propaganda at the school cultural fair.

Why are illegal migrants welcome in Britain but not Eva Vlaardingerbroek?  Then there’s the spectacular double standards. Just contrast Vlaardingerbroek’s treatment with that of Alaa Abd el-Fattah, the Egyptian activist who wasn’t just welcomed into the UK by Starmer over Christmas, but was granted British citizenship during the Conservative years, despite a long and storied history of violent, anti-white social-media posts.
Do you know what really isn’t ‘conducive to the public good’? A government that presides over a free-for-all in illegal migration while fussing over a few crankish influencers.

Net Zero Goes Sub-Zero: Investors Flee Climate Craze as Clean-Tech Venture Cash Drops Almost 50%  Global banks and investors are rapidly retreating from climate and ESG commitments, as venture capital funding for clean tech has plunged nearly 50% from its 2021 peak amid shifting policies, rising energy demands, and renewed focus on fossil fuels.

Canadian court overturns convictions against pastor who held services during COVID lockdowns   British Columbia had ticketed and fined Pastor John Koopman for defying the province’s anti-worship ban during COVID, but a provincial court vacated the tickets as ‘invalid.’

India media just blew up the student visa scam–now everything changes… These proposals are about dismantling a work pipeline that’s clearly screwing over American workers… because a student visa that functions like a work visa is a total backdoor scam. And once it’s admitted out loud, everything is on the table, and changes better be made.

Don’t trust your doctor . . . and the other lessons covid taught me  It soon became clear that the majority, even the most educated, are incapable of thinking for themselves. This was especially apparent in Oxford, where I live and where one might expect independent thought to prevail. Not a bit of it. The dons and professors are as hidebound and conformist as anybody else, and possibly more so. Almost without exception, they went along with all the lockdown and masking rules, never asking themselves what the sinister agenda behind it all might be.
Churches and religious organisations failed us as they obeyed the rules and shut their doors at a time when they were most needed.

When Physicians Are Replaced with a Protocol  As we consider the future, it is essential to ask: What kind of healer do we envision at the bedside in 2035? This question calls for collective moral imagination, encouraging us to shape a future where human responsibility and compassionate care stay at the heart of medicine practice. Mobilizing collective agency will be crucial to ensuring that advances in artificial intelligence enhance, rather than undermine, these fundamental values.
Artificial intelligence has not been licensed to practice medicine. But medicine is being quietly reengineered around systems that do not bear moral weight. If that process continues unchecked, we may one day discover that the physician has not been replaced by a machine, but by a protocol—and that when harm occurs, there is no one left to answer for it.
That would not be progress. It would be an abdication.
