Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly...
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. -Colossians 3:16
The music of the gospel must precede the words of the gospel and prepare the context in which there will be a hunger for those words. What is the music of the gospel? The music of the gospel is the beauty of the indwelling Christ as lived out in the everyday relationships of life. -Joseph C. Aldrich

Iran Opens Fire on Tanker Near Oman After Re-Closing the Strait of Hormuz Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps has once again demonstrated its willingness to turn a vital international waterway into a theater of aggression. On Saturday, IRGC gunboats approached a tanker roughly 20 nautical miles northeast of Oman and opened fire without provocation. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Organization confirmed the unprovoked assault occurred shortly after Tehran reimposed restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, accusing the United States of violating an agreement to keep the passage open.

The Nuns Fighting New York to Serve Dying Cancer Patients A small group of Catholic nuns is taking on one of the most powerful governors in the country. The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne are in a striking David-and-Goliath clash with Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul and the full weight of New York state. What’s at stake is not just religious liberty, but also whether the kind of quiet charity the Sisters exercise is still welcome in American public life.
Earlier this month, the Sisters filed suit against Hochul in U.S. District Court, challenging a 2024 New York law that requires long-term care facilities to use a patient’s preferred pronouns and to assign rooms and regulate restroom access according to gender identity rather than biological sex. The Sisters can’t comply without violating their Catholic faith. They formally asked the state for a religious exemption in March, but the state did not respond. Penalties for defiance include fines, license revocation, and jail time.
Tennessee has officially declared June to be “Nuclear Family Month” in what has been taken as a war on LGBTQ Pride Christians are fed up with traditional beliefs being treated like a disease, and rightfully so.
That’s ultimately what started turning people off, along with the twisted displays of debauchery at Pride parades. Tennessee is now saying what a lot of Americans have been muttering about for quite a while now.
Enough is enough.
