Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness...

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.  And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. -Romans 8:26-27

It is not necessary to maintain a conversation when we are in the presence of God. We can come into His presence and rest our weary souls in quiet contemplation of Him. Our groanings, which cannot be uttered, rise to Him and tell Him better than words how dependent we are upon Him. -O. Hallesby

Ignoring Iran’s Expanding Proxy Network...There are moments in American foreign policy when the warning signs are flashing so brightly that failing to act becomes its own form of negligence Senator Ted Cruz and his fellow sponsors of S. 4063 are not engaging in political theater. They are responding to a gathering national security threat that too many in Washington have either underestimated or deliberately ignored for years: the growing cooperation between the Polisario Front and Iranian-backed terrorist networks operating across North Africa and beyond.
The Senate should move quickly to advance this legislation.
Not because it is politically convenient. Not because it fits neatly into the latest partisan narrative. But because the world has changed, and America’s enemies have changed with it.

Christian Colleges Call New Federal Regulation an ‘Existential Threat’   The new rule portends a problem in particular for seminaries, theological schools, and Bible colleges at a time when clergy are aging and sometimes in short supply.
By the government’s own estimate, 53 percent of bachelor’s degrees for religion and religious studies would be considered “failing” under this new metric. Those programs, which would not qualify for federal loans, are projected to have the highest failure rate of any undergraduate program.

Yes, we are having fewer babies, and that’s for another post. We need more if we want a country that does not look like Europe. But more babies do not equal more public schools. There are a lot of reasons, but the most obvious is that any sane parent wants nothing to do with a school run by a teachers’ union run by Randi Weingarten. Or school districts marching on May 1st, rather than doing math problems.

According to documents obtained by Defending Education, Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS), a far-left school district surrounding Charlottesville, and which includes Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, has built its GenAI policy based around its “anti-racism” policy, which is inherently discriminatory against white students in favor of other races.
