His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness...

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. -2 Peter 1:3-8 Image

Holiness comes not of blood—parents cannot give it to their children: nor yet of the will of the flesh—man cannot produce it in himself: nor yet of the will of man—ministers cannot give it you by baptism. Holiness comes from Christ. It is the result of vital union with Him. It is the fruit of being a living branch of the True Vine.

But there is no way to sugarcoat this or lie: many Muslims see their association with their religion as being more important than being citizens of their home Western countries. If Sharia were merely a religious way of life, it could coexist with all of the other religions in the land. But many of its practitioners make it clear that they have a religious obligation to subjugate everybody present to Sharia law. Look at all of the countries that were once Christian and today are Muslim. You don’t think it could happen in Europe? In the U.S.? Then you too have learned nothing from the four planes that changed America forever.

Looking Back On 9/11: Faith, Memory And Hope 25 Years Later  Christianity teaches that death and destruction do not have the final word. Jesus’ resurrection is the foundation of Christian hope. Christians believe that even though death is real and grief is painful, death is not the end. God promises a future in which suffering, mourning and death will ultimately be overcome.
Twenty-five years after the attacks, we remember those who died, those who survived, those who served and the families who continue to carry the burden of loss.
We remember the darkness, but we also remember the light that appeared within it.
