Prayer is not a way of making use of God; prayer is a way of offering ourselves to God in order that He should be able to make use of us. It may be that one of our great faults in prayer is that we talk too much and listen too little. When prayer is at its highest we wait in silence for God’s voice to us; we linger in His presence for His peace and His power to flow over us and around us; we lean back in His everlasting arms and feel the serenity of perfect security in Him.

When cruelty is dressed up as care, would we recognise it?  What happens when cruelty is presented as kindness? When discrimination is described as care, and the devaluing of human life is presented as a practical solution to society’s problems?
   These are the questions at the centre of Channel 4’s The Experiment: Would you recognise cruelty if it was dressed up as care?, a chilling documentary exploring whether the British public could be persuaded to accept ideas drawn from Nazi ideology.
   The programme is an uncomfortable viewing. But its message is not one we should ignore.

For around the past 1,700 years, Britain has been a Christian country. Throughout that time, our officers of State have sworn allegiance to the Monarch, who held authority under, and only under, God. That faith has been the beating heart of our nation, and a rallying point each and every time we came under threat. Our peoples have stood under the banner of Christ, fighting in His name to defend our country, from attack and from all who wished us ill. And even though small, while we have sought to keep faith, the Lord has upheld and delivered us. Historically, we have been a people slow to anger, fair, and tolerant of others, upholding justice. We have defended the vulnerable and given sanctuary to those fleeing persecution in their own countries. But this we have done without sacrificing our heritage and the values on which our nation stands.
   Yet all that now seems to have been turned on its head. We are told that we must be ashamed of our history and the values that once made our nation great, while self-serving politicians seek to prioritise their own best interests, and micro-manage us – telling us what we should believe and how we should behave. Under the mantra, ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity’, the faith that has held our country together is increasingly being actively suppressed, with those who dare defend Christian truth being branded dangerous extremists by the Home Office, police, and security services, and even arrested.

Former European colonial powers France and the Netherlands want all nations to punish the new crime of “gender-related killings” or “femicide.” They are asking for a commitment in a General Assembly resolution on violence against women.
   According to UN agencies, such crimes include the denial of abortion for any reason.

   If you read the rest of the Times story, you’ll find a real conspiracy, one by the Obama administration and local officials in Minnesota to kill any media inquiries into the story.

NY Mayor Mamdani Celebrates -- then Deletes -- Post about ‘Halalflation‘ of City Street Vendors  The post was picked up by activist Laura Loomer who blasted the mayor for trying to force the practice of Islamic halal food preparation on the city.
   “Disgusting. The Muslim Mayor of New York City is bragging about approving another 10,500 street vendor licenses for Halal food trucks,” Loomer wrote, adding, “He’s even calling it ‘Halalflation update’.”

‘Ghostbusters’: Feds Find Fraudsters Use AI to Fake College Attendance and Receive Fed Aid  “Some use super intelligence to fill out college applications and complete coursework, so it looks like the ghost student is actually completing the class,” he said of the fraudsters. “Some even create the appearance of a fake student in an online classroom to trick schools into believing a real person is present. The goal is to keep the ghost student in school for as long as possible, semester after semester after semester, stealing money from the taxpayer.”

DHS Closes Loophole Chinese Birth Tourists Used  Today, DHS took decisive action to protect America’s sovereignty and SUSPENDED visa-free travel for Chinese nationals to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
   This program made the islands a hot spot for Chinese birth tourism and other security vulnerabilities.

Red-State AG Sounds Alarm About Possibility Taxpayers Were on Hook to Benefit China “China has no right to raise lowans’ –or any Americans’–gas and electric bills. The Biden administration allowed the EPA to team up with radical activists that were funded by China. Those activists wanted to stop American energy dominance and raise the cost of gas and electricity. This letter is a follow-up to make sure that is no longer happening,” Bird said in a statement.

Trans student cited for assault after saying Republicans ‘should be shot’ at University of Utah  Video shows the student saying Republicans 'should be shot in the street' before appearing to lunge at a College Republicans member who was tabling on campus.
   University police cited the student for simple assault and property damage, while queer and socialist activist groups are calling for the citations to be dropped.
