Connecticut, Florida, and DEPO

In all these places and instances, the real issue is money. Some time ago, I corresponded with one of the Connecticut Six. His problem is that the money is not his decision, but his vestry’s, and they won’t vote to send the Diocese a dime. I’ve heard the same thing about all but one of the parishes asking of alternative Episcopal oversight. Can’t these bishops figure out that church is a voluntary association, and that maybe some money might come in if they were gracious and did what the people wanted?
