JULY 17, 2007 -- The Ecclesiastical Court of the Diocese of Central New York dismissed a presentment today against the Rev. David Bollinger. Court rulings which precluded the Diocese from presenting any witnesses from testifying before the Court and allowing only one piece of evidence to be introduced resulted in the Court granting the Rev. Bollinger’s motion for dismissal. The Court rulings were made in response to the Diocese having not met procedural requirements.

The Rev. Bollinger is the former rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Owego, New York. The Diocesan Review Committee received charges against the Rev. Bollinger alleging financial misconduct and the breaking of ordination vows. Upon a thorough investigation of the charges, the Diocesan Review Committee issued a presentment against the Rev. Bollinger on February 24, 2006.
