As we have seen, living in truth has consequences on many levels, but it all begins and ends with the personal - with each of us as we really are when we stand alone before God. As the Apostle John wrote, in words that are magnificent but searching, "God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to be sharing in his life while we go on living in darkness, our words and our lives are a lie.
