40 percent of US climate emissions attributed to richest households A new study that analysed US household income data over the last three decades found that the bottom 90 per cent of households’ share of emissions has fallen, while the top 10 per cent’s share has increased.

The wealthiest 10 per cent are the source of 40 per cent of US national greenhouse gas emissions, according to research published in the journal PLOS Climate on 17 August 2023.

Rosen is pushing for a vote on what he calls the Gun Violence Prevention Act; a sweeping ballot measure that, if approved, would cause an almost immediate end to gun sales in the state while imposing a new per-bullet tax on ammunition and an annual registration fee for every firearm legally possessed by California gun owners.

The settlement received preliminary approval from a federal judge on Wednesday, with the District agreeing to fork over a total of $ 5.1 million. Each of the six named plaintiffs will receive $50,000 under the terms of the agreement, with a larger class of affected gun owners divvying up several million dollars between them.

A California school district has agreed to pay $100,000 to a mother who accused educators of encouraging her daughter to switch genders behind her back, a deal hailed by her attorneys as a “resounding victory for parental rights.”

“Today’s settlement is a clear message to schools: parents will not stand idly by as schools trample on their right to raise their children,” said the Center for American Liberty, which represents Jessica Konen and her daughter Alicia.

Former Morgan Stanley exec sues company claiming he was fired because he was white... alleging he was let go and replaced with a Black woman with “significantly less experience and qualifications”  When he spoke to others inside the company about his firing, he was told it had to do with DEI goals. His replacement had managed a group of 25 people dealing with clients whose assets were under $250,000. Meyersburg had managed a group of 330 dealing with clients whose minimum assets were $750,000. She had 10 years of experience and Meyersburg had twenty-six. By her own admission (according to the complaint) she didn’t really know how Meyersburg’s team operated.

New study finds extended use of 'best' COVID masks may cause cancer, liver damage  As some institutions in the United States begin to reimpose COVID-19 mask mandates, a new study suggests that the types of masks billed as most effective may actually contain dangerous and potentially even cancer-inducing chemicals.

The Daily Mail reports that according to a study by researchers from South Korea’s Jeonbuk National University, published in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety and on the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH’s) website, KFAD and KF94 disposable masks release eight times the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) recommended safety limit of toxic volatile organic compounds (TVOCs).

Finally, we have scientific confirmation that vaccination against COVID-19 causes a marked decrease in immunity to heterologous pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi. This decreased immunity to other pathogens (acquired immune deficit) is what people colloquially refer to as “VAIDS.” (VAIDS stands for Vaccine-Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome)
