Planned Parenthood and ACLU Fighting AGAINST California Banning Child Marriages  Planned Parenthood claims that the law could create a “slippery slope” that would make it easier to ban or limit abortions for minors.

“Among their concerns is that a total ban on marriage of minors could be a slippery slope and impede constitutional rights or reproductive choices, including access to abortion,” the Los Angeles Times reports.

Smartphones Are the New Civilizational Crisis...They make us incapable of normal human interaction.  At least the conversation has begun. The studies are coming in, activist groups are taking notice, and parents are beginning to sense that there is a major problem. And if we are honest with ourselves, this is a matter of common sense. Even those of us who are functioning adults with healthy marriages, strong friendships, normal human hobbies, and a Christian desire for virtue and self-control struggle greatly to control our smartphone use. Personally, even after removing myself from nearly all social media accounts and deleting the internet browser and email apps from my phone completely, I have a very difficult time putting my phone away and staying present to the people around me. How can we expect growing, impressionable children to control themselves with such addictive devices in their pockets?

Any thoughts on how we make the plastics required for so-called renewable energy once we've "transitioned" away from oil and gas? Do we know where our we will mine for lithium to make batteries once we’ve exhausted the current supply, or China locks us out of the market?

Hawaii Wildfires Death Toll Stands at 53, Expected to Rise

“There is no doubt everyone would describe this as though a bomb hit Lahaina,” he said. “It looks like total devastation; buildings that we’ve all enjoyed and celebrated together for decades, for generations, are completely destroyed.”

U.S. Coast Guard commander Aja Kirksey told CNN around 100 people were believed to have jumped into the water in a desperate effort to flee the fast-moving flames as they tore through Lahaina.

Kirksey said helicopter pilots struggled to see because of the dense smoke pouring from the huge fire, but that a Coast Guard vessel had been able to rescue more than 50 people from the water.

Growing Number of Leprosy Cases Reported After COVID-19 Vaccination   A growing number of leprosy cases are being reported after COVID-19 vaccination, including two cases in the United Kingdom that researchers said may have been caused by the vaccines.

The researchers examined records from the Leprosy Clinic at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in London. They found that of the 52 people who went to the clinic in 2021, at least 49 were vaccinated.

The study definition of a leprosy adverse event associated with a COVID-19 vaccine included developing leprosy or a leprosy reaction within 12 weeks of receiving a dose and the person having no previous history of leprosy or a leprosy reaction.

FDA Drops Ivermectin Bombshell... Doctors are free to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID-19, a lawyer representing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said this week.

“The fundamental issue in this case is straightforward. After the FDA approves the human drug for sale, does it then have the authority to interfere with how that drug is used within the doctor-patient relationship? The answer is no,” Jared Kelson, representing the doctors, told the appeals court.
