Not only did free markets release people from miserable poverty, when they did, they created conditions where people want to take care of the environment. It's why capitalist countries are less polluted than socialist ones. Only when you aren't worried about your next meal can you start thinking about preserving nature. 
  On top of that, growth may give us the technology to reduce pollution and adjust to climate change.
  Degrowth would leave the world poor, miserable and polluted.

Biden Rewards Iran's Murder of 3 U.S. Troops With a Cool $10 Billion  The Biden administration on Wednesday quietly issued yet another sanctions waiver to Iran, giving the terrorist regime access to as much as $10 billion in frozen assets. When Presidentish Joe Biden showed similar largess in September of last year, he promised that the money — "merely" $6 billion that time — could "only be spent on humanitarian purposes." Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said his government would spend the money however they damn well pleased, and then did.

Anytime ideology and dogma trump merit, logic, and safety, the result is predictably dangerous. America needs to recalibrate its priorities to protect the lives and aspirations of its citizens.

Note that knowledge is the key here — not the mere obtainment of some fancy degree.  Neither Abraham Lincoln nor Thomas Edison had much in the way of formal education, but both were highly educated men who profoundly shaped this country.  Mark Twain’s humorous wit is not less remarkable because he never attended high school, nor is the prose of John Steinbeck or William Faulkner less incisive because neither finished college.  Degrees mean nothing if the knowledge that they represent is fake.  
...Yet what does a conferred degree mean today?  Does it mean that a student has proven mastery in the arts and sciences, or does it mean that he has been deemed a politically correct cog for a world suffering from groupthink?

Not One Democrat Witness Agreed That Only U.S. Citizens Should Vote In Elections  For nearly four years, the Democratic Party has rolled out the red carpet and handed out freebies such as identification cards, pre-paid credit cards, and health insurance to illegal aliens, incentivizing them to stay illegally in the United States. 
Why? So that illegal immigrants can vote in the next presidential election and elect the candidate who is allowing them to live freely in the U.S. 
And Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Hearing proved just that.

House passes bill that would ban TikTok if its Chinese owners don't sell the popular app   "We are united in our concern about the national security threat posed by TikTok -- a platform with enormous power to influence and divide Americans whose parent company ByteDance remains legally required to do the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party," they said in a joint statement. Still, it remains unclear if there will ultimately be 60 votes to advance the legislation.

The troubling revelation of Great Revelations Academy’s Islamic radical ties raises serious concerns about the grooming of Muslim children in America to adhere to Sharia law and sympathize with terrorist groups and ideologies. The lack of oversight regarding the teachings at this Islamic institution is deeply troubling. Furthermore, the fact that Great Revelations Academy is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code raises questions about whether American taxpayers should be compelled to support a school that promotes anti-Western beliefs and supports organizations and individuals with harmful Islamic intentions.

Is the C of E about to say sorry for Christianity?  Is the Church of England going to apologise for Christianity? A report by something called the Oversight Group has declared that the Church should say sorry publicly, not just for profiting from the evils of slavery (through investment in the South Sea Company) but for ‘seeking to destroy diverse African traditional religious belief systems’. And having apologised, it recommends the Church ‘reach beyond theological institutions’ and ‘enable all Africans to discover the varied belief systems and spiritual practices of their forbears and their efficacy’.

In short, the upcoming generation of Americans increasingly views religious freedom as overt bigotry. Identification with the LGBT movement is undergoing an astronomical rise; identification with Christianity is plummeting.

When Will It End? California Elementary School Has Secret LGBT Club for Third Graders    Naturally, parents were kept in the dark about it. There was no news about its existence and no permission slip to join. It was held during lunchtime.

"The district isn't really giving any answers on what was happening, what the guidelines were, what the curriculum was," said Heidi Moore, a mom whose kids attend schools in the district. "Permission slips are required for [the] gardening club, so why not for this club?"

Eliminating Standardized Testing Had Shockingly Bad Results   The University of Texas at Austin follows several other universities that have announced the reinstatement of standardized testing requirements in recent months. Just last week, Brown University announced a renewed testing requirement, explaining that test scores are “key indicators that help predict a student’s ability to succeed.” Yale University, Dartmouth University, and Georgetown University have also reinstated testing requirements.

Given the large body of evidence that demonstrates standardized testing’s ability to determine which students can be successful at a particular university, all universities that are aiming to teach at a high level should be reinstating their testing requirements. If they do not, they are simply bowing to a disproven tenet of DEI — and making their schools worse off in the process.

Now We Know Why That Philly Mass Shooting Story Vanished   The Philly bus stop mass shooting that dominated the headline for a micro-minute disappeared when it was apparent that a disgruntled racist white guy did not ventilate those black teens. Much like the tragic Sweet 16 Party mass shooting last year in Dadeville, Ala., that left four dead and 32 injured. All six shooters and all of the victims were black.
   The apparatchiks in the Democrat fake news industry are very particular about which shootings will remain in the headlines. And I bet you had no idea that one of the Philly shooters had had a fully automatic pistol with an extended magazine.
