Drones in US airspace; Law and Order in Flux; The cancellation of Christians...more

Mysterious Drones Swarmed Langley AFB for Weeks    Langley Air Force Base, located in one of the most strategic areas of the country, across the Chesapeake Bay from the sprawling Naval Station Norfolk and the open Atlantic, was at the epicenter of waves of mysterious drone incursions that occurred throughout December. The War Zone has been investigating these incidents and the response to them for months. We know that they were so troubling and persistent that they prompted bringing in advanced assets from around the U.S. government, including one of NASA's WB-57F high-flying research planes. Now the U.S. Air Force has confirmed to us that they did indeed occur and provided details on the timeframe and diversity of drones involved.

Air Force general reveals ‘alarming’ number of drones crossing into US airspace at southern border: ‘Over 1,000 a month’ Mexican cartels have been using drones to track the location of authorities along the US-Mexico border in order to more easily smuggle humans and drugs, according to US Customs and Border Protection officials.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez told the House Oversight Committee in February of 2023 that in her Texas sector alone, more than 10,000 drone incursions and 25,000 drone sightings had been reported in the last year.

American Cybersecurity Among Other Issues Has Become a Joke Under Joe Biden...Biden administration is handling our digital borders as poorly as they have handled our physical southern border with Mexico.   Despite all the misleading chest-pounding during the address, one major issue that President Biden mostly stayed away from was America’s crumbling cybersecurity infrastructure. This was most likely by design, as the current administration has failed to distinguish itself as a global leader in the cybersphere.

2023 was a tough enough year for the US in dealing with cyber events, with ransomware attacks, intrusive browser hijackers, data stealers, and countless other threats compromising devices deployed for use in both the private and public sectors. But the first few months of 2024 have seen a rash of attacks against critical sectors, including healthcare, telecom, and state and local governments.

Law and Order in Flux: Crafting a New Image for Justice in America  The rule of law is inoperative in the United States.  With every passing day, it becomes more obvious that we live under a two-tier justice system. It is not justice, but a form of injustice.

Guilty!—But Not Really Guilty?   A cynical public now expects any accused prominent leftist to remain unindicted, while any non-leftwing target will be indicted, convicted, and jailed—for the same alleged offenses   Our criminal justice system no longer treats the accused equally under the law. If the defendant is deemed a conservative, like a Michael Flynn, Peter Navarro, or Donald Trump, then the full force of prosecution falls upon them.

But if a Biden, Brennan, Clapper, Clinton, Holder, or Willis, then the state contorts itself to find excuses, exemptions, and mitigating circumstances not to pursue justice—and so often to the point of absurdity and the erosion of Americans’ confidence in their laws. In these high-profile cases in this polarized era, a cynical public now expects any accused prominent leftist to remain unindicted, while any non-leftwing target will be indicted, convicted, and jailed—for the same alleged offenses.

San Francisco: Violent Repeat Offender Given Probation After Brutal Assault of 94-Year-Old Asian Woman   “Every day our prosecutors go into court + fight for justice & public safety. Yet, almost daily they are met w/ staunch resistance within the courthouse. Not only was this victim denied justice, but all San Franciscans were left less safe today due to this reckless decision.”

The cancellation of Christians...Expressing sincerely held religious beliefs can now lead to punishment and arrest  Expressing sincerely held religious beliefs can now lead to punishment and arrest.

Same-sex unions, gender ideology, and abortion-on-demand are on govt’s agenda.

Pope Francis’ December 2023 salvo on same-sex blessings has spawned this serious breach with the Coptic Orthodox Church. Francis’ highly ambiguous recommendation of the ‘blessing’ of gay couples within the Catholic Church is, predictably enough, in continued and fierce debate among Western Catholics.

A demonstration by 163 school headmasters in Paris to stop death threats made by Muslim parents: They denounce the aggressiveness of the parents and the false accusations of alleged Islamophobia

The trigger was the incident on Wednesday the 28th of February at the Ravel Lyceum: a headmaster was threatened with death after he reminded a female pupil that she must remove her headscarf. According to these headmasters and headmistresses, disputes of this kind are anything but unique.

Many of the Most Beautiful Places in America Have Been Transformed Into Open Toilets   Once upon a time, America was such a beautiful place.  As a nation, we are blessed with great natural beauty, and the shiny, clean cities that we constructed from coast to coast were once the envy of the entire world.  But now many of the most beautiful places in America have literally been turned into open toilets.  Let me give you an example of what I am talking about.  Decades ago, California beaches were so spectacular that tourists would come from all over the world to experience them.  But now the beaches in one section of southern California resemble “a portable toilet” and have been closed for 700 days in a row due to billions of gallons of untreated wastewater that is flowing into the Pacific Ocean… Image

Education polarization...Those without a sheepskin refuse to bow to the credentialed class  The sense of entitlement seems to permeate the academic world which then produces people who believe their college degrees entitle them as well. But increasingly the people without letters after their names are seeing colleges for what they have become: indoctrination centers. Gone are the days when colleges require students to study Latin. The replacements at my alma mater include, “One course must be African-American. One course must be U.S. diversity course.”

In Tennessee, the Microschooling Movement Shows No Signs of Slowing Down  In addition to their small size, microschools are also usually low-cost, highly personalized learning programs, often with a creative curriculum and supple scheduling. They were gaining momentum pre-pandemic and took off following COVID school closures and prolonged remote learning. As someone who has been following alternative education trends for years, I suspected microschooling — and its cousin, homeschooling — would remain above pre-pandemic levels even after schools returned to normal. But I have been pleasantly surprised to see a continued acceleration of these programs in many areas of the country.

Illegal migrant from Lebanon caught at border admitted he's a Hezbollah terrorist hoping 'to make a bomb' — and was headed for NY   Ebbadi said in a sworn interview after his arrest that he had trained with Hezbollah for seven years and served as an active member guarding weapons locations for another four years, the documents show.

-----------------DEI=DIE-----------------

Nevertheless, despite the lure of federal subsidies and tax deductions, the initial enthusiasm has cooled, and America continues to rely heavily on imported chips. What’s happening? The answer is: DIE.
In their analysis, Matt Cole and Chris Nicholson explain that those hoping to build advanced U.S. chip factories have encountered all the usual DIE-imposed box-checking requirements, and this agenda is hardly hidden. DIE is explicit:  diversity is “critical to strengthening the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem.”
These chipmakers must hire and train the “right number” of women, people of color, and “justice involved individuals” (i.e., “ex-cons).

The DEI disaster now appears to be hitting American Airlines  I must emphasize again that the problem here is not that AA is hiring minorities. The problem is that AA is using skin and gender as a qualification, something that is entirely irrelevant to whether one can do a good job or not in maintaining a modern jet. Imagine if AA decided blue-eyed people can fix a plane better than brown-eyed people? We would all call that policy stupid. Yet AA’s DEI program is equally as stupid, and is likely reducing the quality of its workforce.
Hence, the increased number of mechanical problems and piloting errors in flight.
Like United, right now you couldn’t pay me to get on an American Airline flight.

Employers May Not "Take Adverse Employment Actions…Based on [Employees'] Race or Gender to Implement" "Diversity and Inclusion" Programs   After a week-long trial, a North Carolina jury found that Novant Health, Inc. terminated David Duvall because of his race, sex, or both, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In addition to the finding of liability, the jury awarded Duvall $10 million in punitive damages [reduced to the statutory maximum of $300,000].

Dems: Roads, Trees, Dogs, Cameras, and the Outdoors are Racist  Disturbingly, leftist policies are not only racist (toward Whites), but they tend to exacerbate problems in lower-income neighborhoods. For example, Uber and Lyft plan to exit the Minneapolis market over its arbitrarily determined minimum wage rule. People with low incomes (of all races) and the disabled particularly depend on those services.

As they explain, thousands, if not millions of college students risked having their lives and educations upended if they refused to comply with Covid booster mandates. One would imagine that to risk the possible futures of their students, colleges and universities must have required clear-cut evidence that such mandates were necessary, effective, and justifiable given the epidemiological circumstances.

That evidence did not exist.
