In a ruling that has “shocked” legal experts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last week that a church in Washington State does not have standing to sue the state over a law that requires the church’s employee health care plan to include coverage of abortion.

Demographic Crisis Poses a Greater Threat to the West Than Ever Before, Scholar Claims To take the example of Norway, what we’re going to experience now is that we’re going to have a lot fewer children being born, which means that we’re going to have a lot fewer children in elementary school, then later in high school and universities. So every part of society is just going to keep shrinking.
And then when they enter into the workforce, we’re not going to have enough workers to uphold those structures. We’re not going to have enough nurses, teachers, etc.; we’re noticing this already.
And then it’s just going to get worse and worse, because every generation is going to be a third smaller. And that is if we can maintain a 1.4 rate. If we fall down to South Korea’s rate of 0.7, every generation will be two-thirds smaller. That means that in just three generations, we would have lost 96% of the children: Where we have 100 children starting school today, in three generations from now, there are going to be four.

The Islamization of Britain: Mosques Multiply as Christianity Fades (Videos) For the first time in history, Christians are no longer the majority in England. The recent Pew Forum research reveals a staggering shift: the Christian population has dipped below 50%, while the Muslim population is set to nearly double by 2030.
In 2011, 59.3% of the UK identified as Christian. By 2021, that number dropped to 46.2%. Meanwhile, the Muslim population surged from 4.9% to 6.5% in just over a decade. This is more than a demographic shift—it’s a radical transformation of Britain’s cultural fabric.

“The department is deeply disappointed that Jewish students studying on elite US campuses continue to fear for their safety amid the relentless antisemitic eruptions that have severely disrupted campus life for more than a year,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon said on Monday in a statement. “US colleges and universities benefit from enormous public investments funded by US taxpayers. That support is a privilege, and it is contingent on scrupulous adherence to federal antidiscrimination laws.”

Augustine of Hippo and Thomas Aquinas, drawing on the classical tradition, particularly Plato, developed an enduring vision of virtue that should inform our understanding of leadership and strategy. Their articulation of the cardinal virtues — prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance — offers a timeless lens through which to frame and evaluate grand strategy.
Each of these virtues plays a role in crafting a sound approach to foreign policy, but temperance stands out as the most vital in a world where great powers risk overextension, unnecessary conflicts, and countless other self-inflicted wounds ultimately grounded in hubris and the desire for primacy.

Vance was set upon by a mob of pro-Ukrainian protesters who began to yell at his 3-year-old daughter and frighten her until Vance agreed to give them a few minutes to talk. Video exists which confirms Vance's account. In that video, Vance is nothing but polite to the protesters, yet they continue to interrupt him, insult him, and have no concern for the little girl.

And then we have Democrats’ embarrassing behavior during Trump’s speech. Early on, one of their own, Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), was booted from the chamber for trying to disrupt the president by shouting and waving his cane. Others were more restrained but equally undignified, raising little paddles to signal their disapproval, looking for all the world like spoiled children.
More shameful, though, was their sullen refusal to applaud or celebrate a young black child who had overcome brain cancer and always wanted to be a cop; the return of Marc Fogel, formerly held hostage in Russia; and a steelworker who has been a foster parent to some 40 kids. These were moving stories, but Democrats could not find in their angry souls any compassion for them. Screenshot
The Democrats’ behavior at Trump’s optimistic and forceful speech before a joint session of Congress last week leads one to conclude that they hate America.

Consequences Arrive for Columbia University, Faculty Revolt As Layoffs Become 'Imminent' Of course, all of this could have been avoided by simply taking action against these pro-Hamas lunatics. Columbia chose not to, terrified at the backlash, and now the price is being paid. Perhaps some lessons will be learned, but probably not.

Congress Has A Chance To Defund Planned Parenthood. Here’s Why The GOP Should Take It In addition to ending unborn lives or botching their attempts to do so, Planned Parenthood has a history of allegedly flouting federal law and wasting tax dollars, dispensing castrating drugs to confused minors, reportedly trafficking baby body parts, enabling abusers, allegedly performing unlicensed procedures and violating health and safety standards, opposing free speech, and conducting procedures that have resulted in mothers’ deaths.
Possible Big Moves at Education Department: Reports of Major Office Closures, Reductions in Force President Trump has, as of this writing, demurred from signing the proposed executive order directing the Education Secretary to shut down the department, and as constitutionally satisfying as that would be, there are evidently legislative issues that have to go through Congress to be resolved. The odds of such a measure getting past the filibuster in the Senate, where Republicans are seven seats shy of a filibuster-proof majority, are so small as to be non-existent. For now.

Escalating black-on-black crime is terrorizing neighborhoods and destroying inner-city communities. This plague of crime is driving what remains of the black middle class out of Chicago. Since 2000, the city has lost 266,188 black residents — one of the largest demographic shifts in the nation. Despite this devastation, activist groups and political leaders continue to ignore the epidemic of black-on-black violence — choosing instead to defend policies that return violent offenders back to the streets to terrorize law abiding residents in high-crime neighborhoods.
