Why is America decivilizing?
   In part, our mediocre schools have not produced competent stewards to maintain and expand the sophisticated infrastructure and ethos of a prior, far more capable generation.
   In part, the sheer richness of our inheritance lulled our Lotus-Eater generations to consume what they inherited rather than reinvest it, given that since birth they had been insulated from the elemental and unchanging human and natural challenges to civilization.
   And in part, a nihilism arose that despised the hard work of civilization and instead romanticized the wild—clueless that natural man, without the bridles of civilization, is a very dangerous beast, as we so often and lamentably see today. Image

U.S. Halts Import of Livestock from Mexico over New World Screwworm Threat  The New World Screwworm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) is a flesh-eating parasitic fly whose larvae infest open wounds of warm-blooded animals, including livestock, wildlife, pets, and occasionally humans, causing severe tissue damage and often death if left untreated. The larvae burrow into living flesh using sharp mouth hooks, distinguishing them from other blowflies that feed only on dead tissue.

We no longer have the luxury of such self-serving obfuscation, unclear speaking, and inability to be blunt with the American people and their elected representatives as to what is needed to get the nation’s Navy ready for the challenge that is there in clear sight.
   We need new leaders selected under different criteria to prepare our Navy for what is needed. Continuing to harvest the fruits of a tree that produces nothing suitable for consumption in a competitive market is foolishness of the highest order.

Episcopal Church refuses to resettle white Afrikaners, ends partnership with US government   In a striking move that ends a nearly four-decades-old relationship between the federal government and the Episcopal Church, the denomination announced on Monday (May 12) that it is terminating its partnership with the government to resettle refugees, citing moral opposition to resettling white Afrikaners from South Africa who have been classified as refugees by President Donald Trump’s administration.

First Batch of Afrikaner Refugees Arrives, Waving American Flags In any case, the first batch of South Africans arrived on Monday, and they were proudly waving American flags. Ten million illegals can cross the border, and the Democrats will do everything they can to make sure they're not deported, but 60 whole white South Africans entering legally? An outrage.

New Data Reveals Surprising Trends Among Mainline Protestant Voters   Two of the seven major mainline denominations gave Kamala Harris a majority of their votes in 2024. Episcopalians have been overwhelmingly Democratic voters since 2008, and they voted 55% for Harris and only 40% for Trump. Fifty-two percent of American Baptists went for Harris, but Trump’s 48% showing demonstrates a steady increase in GOP voters in that denomination.
   Again, that’s a lot of numbers (sorry), but Trump saw the Republicans’ best showing since 2008 in six of those seven denominations in November. Thus, it makes sense to conclude that members of these denominations are more conservative than their leaders. Will those leaders take note? I think we know the answer to that question.

It has telephones everywhere with signs next to them of how they can, phone numbers to reach their consulate and also legal facilities, computer web cams,” Campos-Duffy pointed out.

Trump Kills Biden-Era Appliance Regs   As part of the Department of Energy's sweeping action unveiled Monday, it will rescind dozens of energy efficiency regulations targeting common household appliances that the Biden administration issued as part of its climate agenda. That includes rules restricting sales of certain types of gas-powered stoves and ovens in addition to microwaves, clothes washers, dishwashers, faucets, shower heads, and dehumidifiers.

A Long Overdue Return to Reality in Pediatric Gender Medicine   The report’s central findings are clear and direct: gender-affirming interventions such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries are supported only by low- or very low-quality evidence, while the potential for irreversible harm is substantial. Risks include sterility, sexual dysfunction, impaired bone-density and brain development, psychiatric comorbidities, and surgical complications. The report rejects claims that gender transition reduces suicidality, finding no high-quality evidence to support this oft-repeated assertion. In line with international reviews, it concludes that psychotherapy should be the first-line treatment for youth with gender dysphoria.

1,000 Troops Who Identify As Transgender Being Discharged: Pentagon   The U.S. Department of Defense on May 8 confirmed that approximately 1,000 service members who have identified as having gender dysphoria will begin the voluntary separation process under new guidance that reinstates a ban on military service for those diagnosed with or exhibiting symptoms of gender dysphoria.

n a galling display of statism run amok, New York City has demanded that two Brooklyn landlords pay $160,000 to “relocate” squatters who illegally commandeered their properties.
You read that correctly. The tax-thieving city government is demanding that the legitimate property owners pay to relocate the people who trespassed and took over THEIR property.
