By calling for "context," the Chief is softening the culpability of the thugs who beat up a middle-aged couple. And that was the clear intent she had, because nobody wants to confront the fact that black people have been given the message that their violence towards others--including other black people--is excused by the fact that they are part of an "oppressed" class. 

    I will insist to my dying breath that this is a cultural problem and not primarily a racial one--a culture of permissiveness brings out the worst in people, and there have been plenty of cultural contexts that have enabled hideous violence from other racial groups, including white people. Elon Musk To Cincinnati Police Chief: Clarify "Missing Context" Or Resign  Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge told reporters on Monday that social media users and journalists are "missing context" by shining the spotlight on viral footage of a Black mob attacking White jazz festival partygoers in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. This is the same police chief currently being sued for discrimination, allegedly favoring women and minorities over merit-based criteria when making assignment decisions.

Blue States Try To Stop Trump Admin From Investigating Food Stamp Fraud  A coalition of Democratic attorneys general is waging a court battle to prevent the Trump administration from obtaining food stamp data on millions of recipients, arguing the move is an attack on migrants.

   New York Attorney General Letitia James, joined by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and 19 other prosecutors, filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday to block the Department of Agriculture (USDA) from obtaining personal information on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients, according to court documents. The Crime of Speaking Hebrew in Europe 

The thread connecting most of these incidents is that speaking Hebrew in public seemed to enrage some of those hearing it. The excuse of the Gaza War and the belief in Hamas propaganda about it is just a smokescreen. It's like saying, "I'm not an antisemite. I just hate Zionism." 

   Europeans are inventing ever more creative ways to express their antisemitism while still convincing themselves they're civilized Westerners.

Canadian church slapped with $2,500 fine for hosting pro-Trump worship leader Sean Feucht  Feucht issued a statement on X last Thursday claiming anti-Christian sentiment has been simmering in Canada, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. He first rose to prominence for launching his "Let Us Worship" movement in protest of government church lockdowns.

   "Here's the hard truth: If I had shown up with purple hair and a dress, claiming to be a woman, the government wouldn’t have said a word. But to publicly profess deeply held Christian beliefs is to be labeled an extremist — and to have a free worship event classified as a public safety risk," Feucht said.
