New York’s 1.47 Million Voter Roll Fraud Unmasks The ‘Safe Blue State’ Myth A damning discovery of voter registration fraud in New York has flown under the national radar. Andrew Paquette, the research director of the New York Citizens Audit — a non-partisan group of New York citizens who use publicly available voter roll databases obtained directly from state and local boards of elections — discovered 1.47 million voter registrations that currently possess identical signatures. This is an impossibility among legitimate registrations and a clear violation of the law. A number this large is cause for concern no matter the margins of any given election.

Harvard Divinity School Launches Journal Devoted to ‘Queerness,’ ‘Palestinian Liberation’  So even for those of us who think universities should have wide latitude for free expression and not a lot of sacred cows, it’s more than a bit much for the Harvard Divinity School dean’s office—after all that has happened in recent years—to subsidize the production of an openly non-scholarly magazine devoted to redefining Judaism into something that will strike many Americans, justifiably, as a perversion or as insanity. If anti-Israel Harvard students want to produce a queer erotic poetry magazine named after a Canaanite idol, let them do it on their own without the university’s name or financial support. As for the professor who thinks it’s a worthwhile project, he’s subtracting from, rather than adding to, what remains of the university’s reputation.

I Watched an Evangelical College Die From the Inside   Christian higher education was never supposed to be sustained by memories of the good-ol’ days. It exists to form human beings who can live truthfully and faithfully in God’s world as image-bearers called to love their neighbors. They exist to form the Christian mind. That mission does not disappear because the financial model is broken. But it does require institutions to act with the kind of clarity and courage that sentimentality makes impossible.

   The institutions that survive will be the ones that face their actual situation honestly, make decisions that correspond to reality, and remain genuinely committed to the theological mission that is the only real reason for their existence.
