Biden proposal that would increase water costs by $10,000 per household...more

Pentagon is panicking over Biden’s proposal that would increase water costs by $10,000 per household   Without so much as a whisper of pushback from Congress, the White House is bulldozing forward with a regulatory proposal that could cost the average household up to $10,000 extra in water costs. But it’s not only President Joe Biden‘s campaign that is scared of this latest forefront of the president’s green agenda — Biden’s own Pentagon is panicking over the proposal.

The “Cruel and Unusual Punishment” of America’s Cities   Forcing cities to allow dangerous, unhygienic encampments does not help the dysfunctional souls who choose to live there. The dissenters in Grants Pass commented on the misplaced empathy of homeless advocates: “The homeless disproportionately risk being the victims of violence, sexual assault, and drug-related death, and encampments’ unsanitary conditions have caused resurgences of plagues such as typhus, tuberculosis, and hepatitis-A.” Martin v. Boise has been an utter disaster. Mayors and governors in the western United States unanimously oppose the decision. Even uber-progressive California Governor Gavin Newsom has filed a “friend of the court” brief seeking reversal. The Ninth Circuit, the nation’s most-reversed appellate court, has created a crisis that only the Supreme Court can correct. If it does so, it may help put an end to the cruel and unusual punishment of America’s cities. Image

The UK is much closer to blackouts than anyone dares to admit   Of all the problems with electric cars, perhaps the least expected was the revelation that some home charging points provide a potential point of weakness for malign foreign powers to interfere with our National Grid. Last week, the Office for Product Safety and Standards ordered the company Wallbox to stop selling its Copper SB chargers because hackers could potentially access the chargers and incapacitate the grid by such means as suddenly turning on thousands of chargers full-pelt at the same time. Bishop Strickland: ‘Woke’ Leaders Feel ‘Threatened by’ Truth-Tellers   Joseph Strickland, who was recently removed by the pope from his position as bishop of Tyler, Texas, was a speaker at the 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). While there, the orthodox prelate spoke to a Breitbart reporter about why the FBI was targeting traditional Catholics and why woke authorities in general are going after law-abiding and religious citizens who disagree with them. While Strickland was allegedly removed for “undermining the faith,” his track record of zealously upholding Catholic teaching, his refusal to condone the current leftist Vatican’s antics, and Pope Francis’s rewards to openly heretical individuals indicate that Strickland’s conservative views were the real culprit.

Google abandoned "don't be evil" — and Gemini is the result   And there are some lines Google ought never to cross, like deliberately manipulating user queries without informing the user, or deliberately generating misinformation even if it serves one of the other objectives. With Gemini, Google is coming dangerously close to a philosophy of the ends justifying the means, a philosophy that many people would consider to be evil.
