Christians Are Not the Enemy...But, in America, they are increasingly treated as enemies of the state.   Government in the United States today, however, will not tolerate the notion that anything-or anyone-limits its powers. That is, frankly, the source of much of the conflict behind the current push for “transgender” policies; nothing-not parental rights, not the needs of young people with mental illness, not fairness to biological women in sports, not even chromosomal biology-trumps the power of the government to declare that a man can become a woman and vice versa.

   In other words, even the truth is whatever they say it is. Anyone who claims otherwise is an extremist, a “Christian nationalist,” a “white supremacist” or a threat.

   One need not be a Christian-or Jew or Muslim or Hindu or Buddhist...

Hell Must Be Empty  

Only in a nation under attack from demonic forces would J6 political hostages be imprisoned for exercising their First Amendment rights at the U.S. Capitol when a congressional staffer can make gay porn videos in a Senate hearing room without any risk of ever being charged for a crime.  Only in a nation suffering from the widespread proliferation of evil would the Department of (in)Justice seek decades-long prison sentences for peacefully protesting Americans who dare to speak out against abortion, while federal agents routinely look the other way as “unknown assailants” vandalize and firebomb the buildings of Christian churches, pro-life organizations, and politically conservative groups.  Only in a nation whose government chooses to embrace evil and reject godliness could a Christian veteran be charged for the “hate crime” of destroying a demonic shrine celebrating Satan.  When adherence to moral conscience is criminalized and the protection of flagrant sin becomes government’s chief concern, there can be no doubt that evil has risen from the shadows and seized control of the State.  When Christians are punished for their convictions and Satan has more friends in political office, it is clear that America’s institutions are rotting from the inside.

The Normalization of Polyamory...Polyamory gives people who wish to cheat on their partners the language they need to justify it.    Moral relativism was never a viable social system—even for the sexual revolutionaries who initially embraced it. We are human beings, and we must have morality. But because we are immoral, we must now have a new morality. That is why the polyamorists cannot be satisfied with quietly going about the business of bed-hopping and leaving the rest of us alone. Somewhere, deep down, they know that they are betraying those they swore to love and sentencing their children to familial chaos. That voice, they hope, will be silenced when society affirms them and tells them that they, too, are normal—a normality that is now synonymous with morality.

They add that the cardinals and bishops should "forbid immediately the application of this document in your diocese" and "ask directly the Pope to urgently withdraw this unfortunate document, which is in contradiction with both Scripture and the universal and uninterrupted Tradition of the Church."

Federal judge ‘not interested’ in delaying challenge to Illinois gun ban  Illinois enacted a ban on more than 170 semi-automatic firearms, certain capacities of magazines and attachments in January 2023. Shortly after, a series of lawsuits were filed. Several were consolidated in the Southern District of Illinois. In April, federal Judge Stephen McGlynn issued a preliminary injunction as the case played out. That was later stayed by the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, which eventually ruled the state had a likelihood of winning on the merits.

Biden and the Border 

Here, the Biden Administration is trying to make its own policy, inconsistent with the statutes.  While this is permissible as “prosecutorial discretion” in the interests of justice in a particular case, what the Biden Administration is doing in opening the borders wholesale is more akin to lawmaking, which Congress has already done on this subject, and to a very different purpose.  That being the case, I think Abbott is on firm ground here.  But I also think that better national leadership would have kept us from ever getting to this pass.

Is Biden Malicious, Incompetent, or Conniving?...Things are so strange, so surreal, so nihilistic in contemporary America that the chaos can only be deliberate. Chance, incompetence, and accident could not alone explain the series of disasters.   So why did Biden unleash the hounds of anti-civilization? Did he despise the supposedly boring middle-class citizen who follows the law, pays all his taxes, and never gets arrested? Does he hate the idea of meritocracy? In Biden’s puppeteers’ dangerous calculus, is all this savagery and chaos a deliberate mechanism to ensure parity? Equity? Inclusion?

     So is the deliberate nihilism—economic, social, cultural, social, and political—a way of leveling the field? Making life difficult for the more successful? Making those who cherish the traditions and protocols of America pay?
