Annihilating the U.S. Auto Industry; Men Without Meaning; 'Escape From New York'....more

Experts Agree with Trump: China Hoping to Annihilate U.S. Auto Industry in ‘Bloodbath‘ on Biden‘s Watch  Most recently, reports circulated that China’s BYD is planning to build EV plants in Mexico to export the cars to the United States at low prices — thus drowning American-made competitors and dominating the EV market.

Supreme Court Hears Argument in Biden Administration Social Media Coercion Case  There has been much public evidence that the Biden administration has pressured large social media and tech companies to censor political opponents under the guise of designating such speech “disinformation” or “misinformation.”

41 Times Search Engine Has Interfered in US Elections Since 2008  MRC founder and President Brent Bozell highlighted just how dangerous G.....’s election interference is. “G.....’s massive and deliberate efforts to interfere in U.S. elections for the past 16 years is unacceptable and the biggest threat to American democracy today,” said Bozell.

Over the years, G----- has repeatedly used its power to help push the most liberal candidates to electoral victory while targeting their opponents.

'Escape From New York,' Starring Donald Trump... and Every Other Developer  When Judge Arthur Engoron meted out the gobsmackingly yuge punishment last month, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul assured other developers that they "have nothing to worry about, because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior."
But a wild precedent has been set that normal business practices where no one felt ripped off and everybody made money, can lead to a ruinous judgment and essentially no chance of appeal. When James says she'll seize Trump's assets, it made the hairs stand up on the arms of every single developer in the city.
"What if I piss off Letitia James?" is now at the top of the list of concerns that is usually limited to economic matters.

‘Broken in What Way?’  Naomi Wolf: My latest letter from New York  It’s a time of shadow. There is literally a shadow across the path of humanity.
Psalm 23:4 speaks of “the valley of the Shadow of Death”; and here we are, it seems, at last.
It’s a time of metaphysical reversals, and generalized, not just personal, sickness.
It is a time when things that are usually in the crevices of human experience, and things that are at least metaphorically penned underground, have been permitted out, to walk among us; to organize institutions as they will; to manage events as they wish.
Maybe demons really do exist.

Anti-DEI movement mirrors rise of societal pushback to leftism  Resistance to left-wing policies has especially gained momentum at the state level against DEI college policies and practices, whether it be mandated diversity statements, the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT), or prohibiting funding for DEI programs and bureaucracies.

Men Without Meaning: The Harmful Effects of Expressive Individualism  The crisis of men and boys shows up at each stage of life: boyhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Dad deprivation is the primary cause, though education policies and economic shifts have contributed in exacerbating and unique ways. Men and boys are struggling mentally, physically, academically, economically, and spiritually.
The solutions to the boy crisis will be far-reaching and multitudinous...

Biden’s Top Intelligence Agency Says Crossdressing Makes Man ‘Better Intelligence Officer,’ Internal Docs Show “I am an intelligence officer, and I am a man who likes to wear women’s clothes sometimes,” the article, titled “My Gender Identity and Expression Make Me a Better Intelligence Officer,” states in its opening line. The author goes on to argue that his decision to crossdress “merits attention given the climate of discussion around the topic and where it sits in the larger conversation about gender identity and expression and professional appearance.”

-----------------Erasing mothers----------------

The people of Ireland have voted resoundingly not to remove the word “mother” from the Irish Constitution.
This week, the results of a double referendum were announced. The first item on the ballot was a proposal to change the constitution's declaration that the family is founded on marriage to instead read that the family could also be founded on “other durable relationships.” Sixty-eight percent of voters said “No” to this suggested change. The second item was a proposal to remove portions of the constitution regarding mothers, including a line declaring that “by her life within the home, woman gives to the State a support without which the common good cannot be achieved,” and that the State should “endeavour to ensure that mothers shall not be obliged by economic necessity to engage in labour to the neglect of their duties in the home.” Seventy-four percent—the highest “No” vote in the history of Irish constitutional referendums—rejected this proposal. Only one constituency in the whole country, located in affluent south Dublin, supported it. (First Things)

Biden Does Nothing for Americans Held Abroad The safety and recovery of Americans held in the Gaza Strip, Russia, Iran, and Haiti should be a top priority for Biden. It would be for any Republican president, but Old Joe seems to have forgotten his duty to them. He is far more interested in bringing more foreign refugees and illegal immigrants into the U.S.

Barack Obama Calls at Downing Street for Mystery Meeting While Obama and Sunak clearly had enough to be talking about, the reason for the visit and what was discussed was not immediately disclosed, the mystery talk being described by an official to British government-adjacent newspaper The Daily Telegraph as “informal” and private. The Times notes shortly before Obama entered Downing Street, the British finance minister also arrived at the Prime Minister’s official office and residence by the front door. That arrival may be seen as a pointed statement given it is thought to be possible to get to the Prime Minister’s office from the Chancellor’s through internal passageways without going onto the street to be seen by the press.

Needless to say, it isn’t just extremely desperate people from Haiti that are attempting to come to the United States in very large numbers.
Right now, our borders are under siege from “asylum seekers” that are coming to us from all over the globe. Migrants have been taught that if they just say the right things about “seeking asylum” they will be let into the country. And this isn’t just happening at the southern border.
Over the past couple of years, the number of migrants crossing over from Canada has been increasing at an exponential rate…

Bucolic Paintings Cause "Dark, Nationalist" Feelings in White People?  White people become enraged at foreigners when they view paintings of the English countryside.
That is now the official position of the Fitzwilliam Museum at the University of Cambridge. and the museum curator is doing something about it. Bucolic paintings of the English countryside are being replaced with modernist monstrosities.

Another Day, Another Video of a White Kid Getting Beaten Senseless  According to reports, the “fight” (which was less a fight and more of a targeted attack), took place Friday at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Savage, a town about 20 miles south of Minneapolis. Cell phone footage of the assault shows a white boy standing with his back to a row of lockers as two much larger black kids taunt him before suddenly punching him repeatedly in the head and torso as he falls to the ground. It's not clear what preempted the assault, or why no adult intervened during the 14-second video.

Europe’s Ramadan...Look at all the lights! Aren’t they pretty?   So it goes. Every year there’s more and more of this sort of nonsense. As vividly illustrated by the breathtaking two-tiered approach of London’s Metropolitan Police during the current pro-Hamas demonstrations, cowards in positions of responsibility all over the Western world are deciding that appeasement is preferable to resistance, accommodation better than struggle, cowering slavery more desirable than precarious freedom. I submit that they’re insanely, calamitously, tragically wrong, and that the pusillanimous course they’ve chosen is only helping to hasten the conquerors’ already rapid advance and to bring about the utter collapse of liberal Western society.

But in the meantime, look at all the lights! Aren’t they pretty? Image

Hug a Book, Save the World...Thoughts and fears on our current relationship with books Remote censorship. Let that sink into your bones for a minute. It doesn’t matter what corner of the political universe you reside in, that should send a shiver down your spine and make you clutch your favorite hardcover to your chest in fear like you would your child after hearing of the death of a neighbor’s child. Consider this from J. Budziszewski:
The next destruction of books will take place as swiftly as the burning of the Great Library of Alexandria. Already libraries are getting rid of physical books and shifting to electronic records. Vandals will delete electronic books by hacking the systems; politicians will delete them for the supposed protection of the republic. Selective electronic book burning will be as easy as pie, because so-called artificial intelligence will be used to scan millions of manuscripts at once for unapproved ideas. (Budziszewski, 2024)

Four years on, COVID damage remains while Fauci & Co. pay no price  In retrospect, I should have been more skeptical.  It’s hard to believe I, of all people, trusted the government too much, but there you are. Public-health officials admitted later they didn’t consider the collateral damage from lockdowns, quarantines and the like in making their plans: They focused solely on preventing COVID’s spread.

Not only were they ineffective at that — COVID spread widely and just about as fast as everywhere else — it’s the opposite of what public-health officials should focus on, since their job is, you know, public health, not the prevention of a single disease at all costs.
