The scandals haunting Pope Francis...Scheming cardinals are sharpening their knives  The cardinals are already meeting to discuss who should be the next pope. Some of the liberal ones, who feel safe because they’re in favour with the ailing Pope Francis, can be seen comparing notes in a bar near the gates of the Vatican. The conservative cardinals are more nervous: they gather at suppers in each other’s apartments or — if they can trust the fawning waiters not to betray them — in a favourite restaurant.

'Anti-White' Scottish First Minister Quits After Disastrous 'Hate Crime Law'  Beyond his insistence on going against the growing public opposition in Scotland to more migrants being allowed into the country, Yousaf's biggest mistake was the passage of his now wildly unpopular "Hate Crime Act."  The law which recently went into effect criminalized many forms of speech including criticism or skepticism of gender fluid theory and trans identity.  Misgendering and misuse of a trans person pronouns could now land a Scottish citizen in jail.  
   In response, the Scottish public flooded law enforcement agencies with fake calls accusing various trans activists and even political leaders of various hate crimes.  Police were so overwhelmed by the paperwork that any effort to enforce the law has ground to a halt. Image

Title IX is about biology, not identification, preferences, or what the school counselor suggests. Transgender athletes, specifically biologic men competing against biologic women, violates Title IX by discriminating on the basis of sex.
   Perhaps the DOJ, when not prosecuting Donald Trump and his supporters, should take a look at this. Fat chance of that.
   In the meantime, female athletes should “just say no” and refuse to compete on an uneven playing field. Congratulation to 5 West Virginia middle school girls for putting their foot (and shot) down. Perhaps high school, college, and professional women could do the same and start putting an end to this new “war on women”.

Trans student who beat 7th grader with Stanley Cup had ‘hit list’   It’s unclear what motivated the attacker. Parents claim that the transgender-identifying student had a “hit list” of students he planned to target. The “hit list” was reportedly brought to the attention of school administrators, who reportedly did nothing in response.

While protesters at Columbia University and Yale University celebrate Hamas and its "resistance" (a euphemism for violence and terrorism), Arabs have been ridiculing the "pro-Palestinian" demonstrators on American college campuses. For these Arabs, including some Palestinians, there is nothing "pro-Palestinian" about supporting the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group, whose members slaughtered 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped more than 240 others on October 7, 2023.

Harvard Protesters Raise Palestinian Flags On University Building, In Spot Reserved For American Flag   Approximately one hour after three keffiyeh-clad individuals raised the flags, the Ivy League university's staff removed them despite jeering from protesters who were chanting "Shame!" and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." According to Harvard University spokesman Jonathan L. Swain, raising flags is "a violation of University policy and the individuals involved will be subjected to disciplinary action."

WaPo Op-Ed:  Punish Columbia Professors, Not Students Protesters, For The Intellectual Degeneration On Campus   I would turn on those professors out of a belief that, at Columbia, appalling chants and occasional hints of violence from students on a tear are not ultimately the problem. Intellectual degeneration is the problem. Otherwise, the existential attacks on Jews, euphemistically advocated, would not be under discussion. I would turn in anger on the professors out of a belief, in short, that a university ought to be a place of resistance to the worst of ideas, and not a place of acquiescence.
   That was my own lesson from 1968, hammered into me by thoughtful professors who remembered the 1930s, which I offer back to the Columbia administrators and the more levelheaded professors in 2024 exactly as I would if I myself were on the faculty right now, and I had run into bright and beloved students on the redbrick walks who had gone out of their minds, as students sometimes do.
