Blue Cross Blue Shield Reverses Controversial Policy Change In Wake Of CEO Murder   In November, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield announced that it would no longer continue to pay for anesthesia over the complete duration of medical procedures for its policyholders in Connecticut, New York, and Missouri. Instead, the healthcare insurer would only pay for anesthesia over a predetermined amount of time. The insurer stated it would rely on parameters categorized as 'physician work time values' by the Centers For Medicare And Medicaid Services, a metric healthcare professionals opposed to Anthem's new policy described as arbitrary and unclear.
   This meant that if the prescribed time frame for use of anesthesia exceeded those CMS metrics that Anthem would completely deny the bill submitted by anesthesiologists, leaving patients to cover the enormous cost. In an official statement announcing the new policy, Anthem wrote “We will utilize the CMS Physician Work Time values to target the number of minutes reported for anesthesia services. Claims submitted with reported time above the established number of minutes will be denied.” The policy change was set to take effect in February 2025. Image

California man who shot 2 kindergarteners had lengthy criminal history, mental health issues: police  The California gunman who shot and gravely injured two kindergartners had a long criminal history and significant mental health issues, authorities said Thursday. 
   Roman Mendez, 6, and Elias Wolford, 5, were identified by Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea as the two children injured in the Wednesday shooting at the Feather River Adventist School in Oroville, which has an enrollment of 35 students.

California Bar Will Consider Campus Protests In Moral Character Review For Lawyer Licensing   The working group declined to endorse any blanket policies regarding campus protest involvement, instead concluding that moral character reviews should look at the “specific facts relevant to the individual applicant” and take into account relevant state and federal precedent.

It wasn't just Taylor Lorenz egging on crazed leftists to go on an assassination spree after the HealthPartners CEO was gunned down on the streets of New York. 
It was a vast swathe of the Left who argued it was well-deserved justice and should be emulated with other CEOs. Lorenz herself suggested slyly that a Blue Cross CEO be next on the lst.
