-“Grooming” for the systematic rape and trafficking of perhaps hundreds of thousands of British girls by Muslim gangs.

-“Honour killing” for the premeditated murder of wives, daughters, and sisters who violate some component of sharia or Islamic culture.

   Both terms do the same job: they sound vaguely cultural, vaguely tribal, and comfortably pre-Islamic. They deliberately drain the violence of its religious and doctrinal content. They protect the ideology.
