Where Are We Going and Where Have We Been?; The Many Voices of Tehran–in Washington, DC ...more

From Where Do These Perversions Come?
I have developed a line of investigation in a long article, “Androgyny: The Pagan Sexual Ideal,” in which I cite a number of important sources. This history is crucial for understanding the theological and spiritual implications of homosexuality for the thinking of today’s church and culture.

To understand how we go there, we must travel back into the past, where we find that the priests associated with the worship of the goddess Ishtar from the Sumerian age (1800 BC) flaunted their androgyny. Their condition was due to their “devotion to the goddess Ishtar who herself had ‘transformed their masculinity into femininity.’” They functioned as feminized men and as occult shamans, with their divine‑demonic ability to transgress boundaries.” They celebrated no boundaries, that is, no binaries. So, you see that the “non-binary,” as we say today, was already a powerful, spiritual notion, denying the existence of the binary, separating creation from the God the Creator, which was the ultimate function of these pagan shamans.

The Many Voices of Tehran – in Washington, DC... And they are forming policy in the White House, State Department, and Pentagon  Questions that now need to be asked are whether any of the individuals named in the Iran Experts Initiative, especially those who currently or previously worked in sensitive U.S. government positions, met clandestinely with Iranian regime officials, whether they took directives from those officials, and whether they communicated classified or confidential U.S. government information, including negotiating positions, to the Iranians.

It’s time for the FBI to get back to work tracking real counter-intelligence threats to America, not phony Russian collusion plots.

It’s good to see faith prevail every once in a while.

A new drama biopic called “The Blind” reached top five at the box office during its first week of showings. The faith-based film’s success is a major “told ya so” to the studios and critics that didn’t take a chance on it.

“The Blind” is a story about redemption, family and faith. It’s based on the true story of Phil Robertson from the popular series, “Duck Dynasty.” The film highlights Robertson’s life and details his testimony of going from a drug addict and an alcoholic to completely turning his life around and living it for the Lord.

Two events of the last week witness to a significant shift in the times in which we live. The first is a sermon by megachurch evangelical pastor Andy Stanley that seemed to concede ground to gay partnerships within the church. The second is a worryingly ambiguous comment from Pope Francis on the possibility of blessing same-sex unions. First Things

The most disappointing quality to Laudate Deum is that, from paragraph No. 2 through paragraph No. 60, it could have been drafted by any intelligent non-believer working for a secular NGO. Jesus makes an appearance in paragraph No. 1, then goes on hiatus until paragraph No. 64.  In a text of 7,500 words, the word “Jesus” appears three times; “God,” 11 times; “Church,” once; “Catholic,” twice; “biblical,” once; “Bible,” once; and “Christian,” once. In a sense, noting this is unfair, since the text’s final section—“Spiritual Motivations”—is actually quite beautiful and relies on a variety of scriptural references. But Laudate Deum is an essentially secular document with a religious addendum. First Things

Chicago Police Station Closed and Cleaned Due to Scabies...Asylum-seeking migrants were housed at the station  This is especially disturbing news, as Chicago has decided to use its very busy O’Hare airport for a migrant shelter.

The average for the 30-year fixed rate mortgage climbed to 7.49% for the week of Oct. 5, the highest point since December 2000, and up from 7.31% last week, while the 15-year fixed rate mortgage rose from 6.72% to 6.78% in that same time frame, according to a press release from mortgage giant Freddie Mac. The rise comes as housing is becoming increasingly unaffordable, with the price of a home in August being roughly $421,000, up from $382,000 in January, while the number of homes being sold for the month was down 17.7% compared to the same point in 2022.

Democrat Congresswoman Demanding More Ukraine Aid Is A ‘Strategic Advisor’ To Lobbying Group Representing Defense Industry, Ukrainian Government, & Hunter Biden-Linked Burisma Democratic Representative Marcy Kaptur, a prominent champion for sending aid to Ukraine, serves as a Strategic Advisor to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, a lobbying group representing the interests of corporations including defense industry giants and the Ukrainian government.

Rep. Kaptur and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) also have ties to Burisma, a controversial Ukrainian energy firm that paid President Joe Biden’s son Hunter received over $83,000 a month from to serve on its board. On the same day that Biden family business associate Devon Archer met with Rep. Kaptur’s office on behalf of his client Burisma in 2016, the USUBC held a joint event with Burisma focused on "Ukraine’s Energy Security Future.”

Natural gas supplies the largest share of New York’s power. Nuclear is in a strong second place and hydro also does well. Solar and wind are invisible.
Liberals are promising to replace all natural gas and coal generation (some would add nuclear) with wind and solar by some early date, like 2050, while at the same time adding a vast amount of new demand for electricity. Such projections are absurd. They can’t happen, and any attempt to force them to happen will cause economic collapse and untold personal tragedy. The “green” movement is a road to disaster.

The media, due to some unholy combination of ignorance, malice, and corruption, have amplified these cries and have generally put a lot of energy into propagandizing the public into accepting the official "science," a manufactured consensus that isn't even supported by their own data...

In chaos there is profit, and there is chaos in Germany’s energy sector at the moment. With the hypocrisy rampant all through the Green cult, the Scholz government shut down viable nukes only to go all in on?
Coal. Lignite coal burning electrical plants.

"We have to look at risk-benefit ratios and decide whether it makes sense to prescribe them," Kane said. "It'll come down to a discussion between physician and patient as to the risk of morbid obesity with chronic conditions and the lifestyle associated with that for pancreatitis and cancer and other disease processes and the slightly increased risk from the drug."
