Fiducia Supplicans: an exercise in smoke and mirrors, where spin becomes substance and appearance reality  -Gavin Ashenden  On one hand the Church teaches that a same sex union cannot be blessed, but on the other hand, same sex people who are in a relationship are invited to present themselves for a blessing. 

This blessing is of a very particular and finessed kind. It blesses the two people as individuals, but not as a couple. Yet, they are invited to present themselves as a couple. They ask for this as a couple; they arrive as a couple, they leave as a couple. They appear to be blessed as a couple, and yet, very clearly, Fiducia Supplicans states they are not being blessed as a couple. Their disordered union has not been blessed. How could it be without changing Church teaching? 

At this point, in some act of metaphysical subtlety, too swift for the eye to follow or the mind to understand, they have been blessed as “individuals who presented as a couple”.

To some this may seem a little Jesuitical. Is it a distinction without a difference, or a distinction with a difference?

Economist: 2024 Will See ‘Biggest Single Crash’ of Our Lifetime  Economist Harry Dent was unfortunately not full of holiday cheer in his comments to Fox News Digital. “Since 2009, this has been 100% artificial, unprecedented money printing and deficits; $27 trillion over 15 years, to be exact. This is off the charts, 100% artificial, which means we're in a dangerous state,” Dent argued. “I think 2024 is going to be the biggest single crash year we'll see in our lifetimes.” Of course, as we all know, economists can be wildly wrong in their predictions. But it’s undeniable that America is deeply in debt, over-printing money, and, under Biden, laboring under disastrous economic and financial policies.

All of this money was used by Hamas leaders to buy themselves luxury condos in Qatar and other foreign climes. Inside Gaza, almost none of this money went to help Palestinians in Gaza. Rather Hamas used the funds they didn’t pilfer to build this underground terror network which comes out in hospitals, mosques, and other places that the international community regards as sacred, but which Hamas does not.

And why do I say “we”? Because American taxpayers are among the people who were fooled into sending money to these terrorists.

Since 2007, the US has sent over $400 million in taxpayers’ money to Gaza. That is all after the coup where Hamas seized power. These are the official figures released by USAID (United States Agency for International Development. USAID also says that it has paid more than $500 million between 2021 and the end of this year.

“Hamas terrorists raped, gang-raped, beheaded, burned, mutilated, disfigured, and tortured men, women, children, the elderly and the disabled. Hamas terrorists chopped off fingers, arms and feet, gouged out eyes, obliterated faces and tied up dozens of people – including children before burning them alive. They cut an unborn baby out of a pregnant woman, stabbed the baby with a knife and shot the mother in the head.”

You don’t have to be a public health expert to solve this one. It actually helps if you’re not.

None of the billions we spend on the CDC, the NIH and all the other acronym public health bureaucracies could explain why congenital syphilis in the Northeast only amounted to 121 cases in 2021, 296 cases in the Midwest, but 939 cases in the West and 1,499 cases in the South.

"Virtually every student I've ever worked with who got into Harvard early pretty much stopped [looking elsewhere] This is the first time and first application season where I've seen a student who got into Harvard early that I've worked with for almost three and a half, four years now, starting in ninth grade — we're seeing them say, ‘You know what? I want to apply to other schools because what if I graduate and this stigma and this reputation of Harvard stays the same?’ That's their true concern."
