Along with high and persistent inflation, another disastrous consequence of Bidenomics has been the rapid increase in interest rates. Since inflation is continuing at a higher rate than most economists predicted, it will likely result in the Federal Reserve pausing on plans to decrease interest rates. Consequently, Americans will not see the relief they desperately need on credit card interest rates and mortgage rates.

Portland Public Schools Face Civil Rights Complaint For Disciplinary Policy That Factors In Race, Gender Identity    The policy states that behavior support plans “must take into consideration the impact of issues related to the student’s trauma, race, gender identity/presentation, sexual orientation, disability, social emotional learning, and restorative justice as appropriate for the student.”

For teacher assignments, the new policy prevents the district from transferring an educator when doing so “would decrease the building’s percentage of under-represented male or female or transgender/nonbinary/gender non-conforming professional educators to less than thirty percent” or “decrease the building’s percentage of minority teachers to less than the student minority percentage in the building or below the percentage of minority professional educators in the District,” according to PDE’s complaint.

U.S. Census to Ask Questions on Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation for First Time  The questions will be sent to 480,000 households and can be answered online, by mail, via phone or during in-person interviews, with only half expected to respond, according to the AP. If approved, the bureau plans to include them in its annual American Community Survey and will ask respondents about their sex assigned at birth and their sexual orientation.

The first question set will ask respondents of any age to divulge whether they were assigned male or female at birth and then follow up for those who are 15 and older on the individual’s current gender identity with options including male, female, transgender, nonbinary or “This person uses a different term,” according to the AP.
