Minneapolis museum holds "family friendly" demon summoning; When The Justice System Falls Apart, So Does The Republic...more
Minneapolis museum holds "family friendly" demon summoning The Walker Art Center held a pagan ritual geared toward families last weekend, with a performance called “Lilit the Empathic Demon.”
“Demons have a bad reputation, but maybe we’re just not very good at getting to know them,” an event description reads.
The event, which took place at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, was part of the Walker’s Free First Saturdays program and featured artist Tamar Ettun who creates “demon traps.”
“Families are invited to create a vessel to trap the demon that knows them best — perhaps the ‘demon of overthinking’ — and then participate in a playful ceremony to summon and befriend their demon,” the website explains.

Lest you should think Trump is the only example of the double standard, remember that the DOJ raided the home of a pro-life pastor for pushing a threatening pro-abortion agitator away from his young son, while militant abortion activists firebombed Christian pregnancy clinics. Recall how they charged a man with homicide for defending subway riders from a threatening vagrant, but do nothing to stop criminals who terrorize law-abiding citizens. Think about the ongoing campaign to imprison anyone adjacent to a Republican protest that turned into a mob at the U.S. Capitol in 2021, after letting left-wing protests descend into fiery riots across the country for an entire summer. Excuse me, fiery but mostly peaceful riots.

Joe Biden sending $700 to Maui fire victims sparks backlash: "Insulting" President Joe Biden is facing renewed criticism for his response to the devastating wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui after offering victims $700 per household in emergency aid.
Political opponents and commentators described the sum as "insulting" and compared it with the more than $113 billion-worth of aid the U.S. has sent to Ukraine as it defends itself against an ongoing Russian invasion. On Monday, the government announced it was sending $200 million in defensive capabilities.
Biden has previously faced backlash over what some saw as a dismissive response to the death toll on Maui, brushing off questions about the disaster while spending the weekend at his Delaware beach house.

The west coast is not alone in the overall decay that America is experiencing, it is just the most advanced and should be treated as a canary in the coal mine for the rest of the country. Regions managed under far-left leadership are all facing imminent destabilization and this fact needs to be addressed on the national stage. Is the fall of the west coast (and parts of the east coast) a precursor to the fall of the US? If so, the most logical solution would be to take power away from the leftists causing the rot.

The Fulton County indictment, like some of the others, seems to involve prosecutors stretching the laws to target Trump. Similar criticisms were made about Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg when he indicted the former president over the Stormy Daniels hush money payments. Weaponizing the law in this manner only makes it more obvious that these officials are trying to influence the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.
Democrats appear to believe these legal actions will help them politically. They might be right. But it is also possible that this cynical use of the justice system might just backfire on them.

There are no longer any reliably friendly skies or friendly airports. Not only have we stopped dressing like mature, self-controlled people, we’ve stopped acting like them, too...
But just as people commenting on those fashion posts yearn for a more refined era, it turns out that people generally wish for a level of social maturity extending beyond toddlers throwing tantrums. That’s the only explanation I can find for a viral video of an American Airlines pilot giving a pre-flight speech explaining to passengers that he expects them to behave politely and with respect for their fellow travelers...

San Francisco's Nancy Pelosi Federal Building Is So Dangerous That Employees Are Told to Work at Home Things are so bad on the ground surrounding the 18-story Nancy Pelosi Federal Building on 7th and Mission streets in San Francisco that it could be renamed Nancy’s Crack Emporium. Maybe it already has.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the U.S. Health and Human Services Department advised its hundreds of employees to work from home because their workplace is surrounded by the “city’s most brazen open-air drug markets, where dozens of dealers and users congregate on a daily basis.” Since San Francisco doesn’t appear to be interested in improving, people are being told not to use the more-than-$141-million building taxpayers bankrolled back in 2002.

That’s what we’ve got now: a massive government-funded climate alarmism complex.

It is difficult to say precisely when, but at some point in the last decade, the initial wave of optimism brought about by late aughts’ digital technology gave way to a prevailing sense of exhaustion, pessimism, and defeat. Innumerable studies warn about the depressive effects of screen time, the polarizing politics of social media, the economic disparities of the digital economy, and the existential threat posed by artificial intelligence. Like Victor Frankenstein, even the Silicon Valley elites lament the monsters they have created.
